another question, sorry to keep asking, why are you now using an A harmonica to demonstrate bending? Does a C harmonica not bend very well?

@chrisdavies23359 Hi the Silver Star is not the best harmonica. But your mouth has to get stronger. Try playing every day one hour for a week.it should get easier.

I thought as much, I will persevere with this, I am not new to the music scene as i already play blues and rock lead guitar, have done for two decades now ;) If I see progess on the horizon, perhaps I will invest in a more expensive harp. I will be watching your tutorials with great interest and thank you again for the reply. Out of all the tutorials on the net you are one of only two who has replied to my quesions.

I got a harp today , went to youtube , found your stuff , now i can jam to blues and bend notes and i'm really happy. It's a North Star harp in C and it sounds alright.

I haven't played a harp since i was a kid and i absolutely love it.

Keep up the great work. You're a pro at explaining. I used to choke the notes to bend em but now i can almost bend them perfectly the right way. All in one day man. Good job :D

Sorry for caps I'm just soo happy ahah it's great coz my first harmonica's in A as well(hohner blues harp) Now Imma try working on my blowing bend..any ideas? I Draw bend the 4th hole to get the tritone(devil's note)to the 5th then blow then draw(bend to note) on both 2 and 3 to get the sliding up root(D sharp to E) and 3rd(G to G-sharp).

I believe you explain very well and way better than others just because you really know what you do.

Other people just repeat what they do but their explanation is not clear or complete because did not really understand the basics and mechanics behind. Just repeaters.

I'm a "u-blocker" so I have that working against me. I was always trying to push the back of my tongue forward (one of your suggestions) , and only could get 1/2 down. But I never tried opening the back of my throat and playing the note back there. It worked like a dream!
