Make your own clup then. Get a projector some speakers a couple of likeminded people in a dark room. Every city has metal head freaks(I am one myself). That will love that enviroment. Once a year me and some friends watch eraserhead on a projector and mash the shit out of the audio. Every year we have a few more people come. The meatheads will leave in the first 10minutes.
@utubepredator Of course. Otherwise I wouldn't have made the comment. All clubs don't have to have the same kind of heavy, techno-rave, crappy music, you know. Why can't a club be a different experience, built around the music? I'd explain it further but I think you're too stupid to understand it. Why do you think I said it? Because there AREN'T any clubs that play this kind of music. And there should be. Get your narrow minded head out of your ass and think for two seconds.
@72grantorino Why would you need a club to listen to this kind of music? Clubs are for monkey activities like socializing, playing cool (aka play-pretend), and hooking up with fellow loozas and random horse.
Sorry if my stupid narrow minded ass can't grasp the profoundness of sharing with other club intellectuals such personal things that you can't even put into words.
Actually, why do you think there AREN'T such clubs? Also, care to further explain that different experience you mentioned?
@utubepredator ...sigh.... Okay, I'll try this again...Pay attention. You don't NEED a club in order to enjoy this music. And a club isn't (and doesn't have to be) just for "playing cool" and "hooking up with fellow loozas". That may be what YOU do at a club, but it certainly isn't the way it MUST be. Socializing, I'll certainly agree with, but I digress. I don't see why there couldn't be a place where people who love this kind of music could come, chill, and just let the music take them..
@72grantorino If you read my comment properly, you'd see I'm really not a fan of clubs. On clans. Or networks. Or societies. Or parties. I know there are advantages to gatherings, but me, I love this type of music for the same reason I love days with heavy rain, or hitting the city after midnight, or just going off everyone's radar for ages. It's only these ambients that help you 'look in the mirror' without everyone around watching.
The visuals combine well with the ambience, creating a feel that reminds me strongly of both H.P Lovecraft's fiction and H.R Giger's art. There's that feeling of a dark membrane imperfectly concealing horrors lurking just beyond the periphery of perception.
The more Lovecraftian the better. Funnily enough just now I was thinking of incorporating the 'Wgah nagl fhtagn' chant into my next video response! :-D
@iljonathan777 IMO visuals are not really in tune with the soundscape. When you watch, you get quite a different imagery than when you only listen - much more centered on human 'experience' and interpretations, so I prefer to simply listen and imagine myself wandering under the dense organic clouds of the moon Titan. Who needs horror.
@BolVVVerk: What kind of effects did you use to make this clip? Sometimes it looks like you just used alot of "wipes" and some blur effects. Just curious, anyway: awesome clip.
Dark ambient showers you in waves of dreamlike visions.. It opens up "hidden" places.. places of extreme beauty.. However, the "untrained" eye, may only see the "darkness". But "darkness" holds sadness and pain, wich is the fundament for "growth".. It reaches within your soul and those who have "eyes" will see the truth, and outgrow the "shield" of illusion and become free... Inade is awsome.. a sigh from the unknown..
