I've tried downloading this game, and i have Red Orchrestra Ostfront 41-45.... but when i click play game on the steam page nothing happens, what do i do?

is it me or does RO2 not look any better than RO 41-42/ darkest hour? I played RO a couple years until 2009 or so..and loaded it up pre RO2

Unreal 2.5 engine still has legs.

It's really sad this game is dead... only 1 server even half populated at a time. I just bought it a few days ago and it seems really fun.

@FelixTheBarbarian There is one server that consistently has 50-70 players playing at all hours of the day, the 29th Infantry Division server. They play mostly infantry and combined arms maps. Alternatively, there's the Jolly Rodgers server which is primarily tank combat. There are several other servers that are populated at the peak time during the day. The community is rather tight knit, but there are certainly enough players to find an enjoyable game at any hour of the day.

@cmbasnett That sucks because I started having weird issues with it recently (while RO plays just fine btw and I have specs more than capable of running both game and mod on max settings for the past few years). It's unplayable now and I tried everything, thought it was Steam and wanted to download 5.0 elsewhere but it isn't available outside of Steam. Oh well...

Pretty good update.

The only thing I didnt like is that they gimped the squad leader position with the corporal crap.Now instead of there some times being one good SL on there has to be two which there never is.

You need 2xSmokes to do proper cover and tactics and with two guys dropping unused smokes you get so much random smoke from people that dont know how to use em correctly.Ergo friendly runs into the smoke only to see on the other side there is a open field and enemies with full view etc

There is a a few servers.

Two servers especially, a infantry one and a tank one, are usually full with 40-50 players at prime time.

So far I cant really say that there is a issue with enough people to play with.

@MEGADETHTHRETH jagdtiger, nothing to ba happy about, yes it was biggest, but slow and worthless with the unexperienced crews in it, and it wasnt in so much combat either, and to much driving meant they had to adjust the aim all the time, cheers :)
