  • i live in Fort Wayne too!!

  • That's good to know. Have a great day!

  • @oO3Dogs3Oo so do i and now lakeside park looks run down cuz the communtiy teenagers skateboard and have no respect for the place so keep that in mind its not that beautiful anymore

  • OMGGGG! I'm from Indiana, too! My sis got married at Lakeside! Thanks for this video, you've warmed the heart of a very homesick Hoosier. Sniffle...are there more? Love it!

  • Yes, this does remind me of England. I hope to go back in 2009 for a month. Unfortunately, England only seems to have 6 weeks of summer (and that's a good summer). Here, Spain has a different beauty and feel and is not so soft and green. Keep up the good work, you are giving a lot of pleasure to a lot of people - and having some fun yourself by the sound of it. Hasta Luego

  • We take so much for granted. I walk in the park can be such a wonderful release. I've never had the opportunity to visit England or Spain but I have seen enough to know they are both places full of beauty. Thank you.

  • Lovely park and photos, Steve (kinda looks like a nearby state, doesn't it?!)

  • It sure does. I wish I had uploaded this as a higher quality. I was a bit disappointed overall in the photos I took but I don't regret spending the day outside taking them.

  • I think I missed this!! How could I have?! It's beautiful!

  • Thanks Minniver. I snuck it up on a weekday I think. Been a while since I had any time to make a video it and it was great to get out of the house to take the photos. My friend Danny and I are trying to start a photo site for Indiana. We've still got a lot of work to do on the website but hopefully it will encourage others to share their experiences in my area.

  • Such a nice place.

Can I just ask how you made the screen go up on the picture of the tree at the 18th second?

  • You mean at the 28th second I think. That was easy. Goto the pan/crop options. There is a timeline/keyframe bar at the bottom. There should already be 1 point on it. Change the aspect ratio to 4:3 and then zoom out and move to the bottom. Next create a second point at the end of the timeline. For the second point zoom back in but move the zoom to the top of the picture. You'll play around with it I'm sure to get the desired look.

    Hope it helps.

  • Nice place reminds me of the last time i went to lakeside (in england) hehe i live in england and what you see there i take for granted im used to all kinds of scenery like that if i were you You shuold come to england the scenery over here is amazing ^^

  • Someday I'd love to go to England. I've seen a great deal of the countryside and the cities through YT videos but I imagine it's much more wonderful in person.

  • That looks like a wonderful place to visit on a nice day. Awesome pictures.

  • It really is Kyle.

    Thanks.

  • Lovely pictures!

  • Thank you.

  • Do you know when the roses will be in? I want to go to the park then and take some photos.

  • I'm betting they should be blooming in about 2 weeks. The plants looked pretty healthy. I definately need to go back when the roses are in bloom. It's a whole new park then.

  • Nice vid Pookie ... What kind of camera did you use for these they are nice great vid 5 stars from me

    Hippo

  • I have a Sony DSC-H1. It's only 5 MP but it is almost as versatile as a standard 35mm. It's really good for low light too.

    Thanks GreenHippo33!

  • Well these are really awesome pictures!!!

    Keep up the good work

  • Thanks greenhippo.

  • what a gorgeous park. City planning done right!

marvelous photos Pookie - I loved the trukey fungus and the goose on the water. :)

  • Thanks Leslie. It really is a nice park. A year or two ago the revamped the playground area and really made it a place that feels welcoming. I walked right upto those geese. They didn't even flinch. I probably should have taken a few more shots of them but to be honest they're a dime a dozen around here so they don't hold my attention for very long. Still, they were quite majestic.

  • Loved the lion fountain and that major hunk of fungus. ;)

    Great slide show!

  • Looks like my first response disappeared. Yeah, I really liked the fungus too. Took about half a dozen photos of it. Really liked the colors. Not so many animals at the park that day like in your video but still a great day to be out.

  • What a lovely place and some beautifully artisitic shots Pookie

  • Thanks Brian. It was a good time being out in the park. Haven't been out shooting in a long time and it really missed it. I could have taken more time on the video but I just wanted to share my little peace of heaven as quickly as possible.
