Now, if you had put a swimming pool there instead, would the mole(s) have dug through the cement?? Wouldn't have been half as fun for the cats. They couldn't have sat down so comfortably to watch. Think your decision for grass was the best one.  The mole thinks so too no doubt!!

I mostly have plants that thrive in the south of France but even local people who are used to coping with the dry hot summers here having a hard time of it now.
