  • hey dude do you think that Traktor Pro run a Powerbook?

  • @PhotoshopTippsGerman Hello, it depends on the numbers invlolved; how much RAM and what speed processor does the Powerbook have?

Mine is 1.6Ghz with 1.5Gb of RAM; it worked well for simple mixing/ beatmatching etc, but when I tried too many effects, it started to stutter and became unreliable - this is the last thing you want. Imagine the music suddenly stopping because your laptop froze! The horror!

You might find a better answer on the Traktor forums.

    Good luck.

  • Hi how I must connect the XP 10 to the Mixer/Laptop? I want to buy a Pioneer DJM 600 and two XP 10 (I have Traktor 3 )

  • Hello Mightlife.

Regarding the PowerBook G4; What are your thoughts about a G4 with 1.5GHZ, 1GB ram, and a 128MB graphics? I'm hopefully getting a new laptop and am hoping that a setup like that will do me well.

    Cheers, Michael D.

  • what do you think about the Saffire LE interfaces? Kinda stuck between that or the Firebox =\

  • I haven't used any Presonus gear, so I can't really comment. Before I got the Saffire, I tried an Edirol FA (whatever) with Traktor, but found it couldn't handle my setup well. The Saffire was pretty good, no real clicks & pops with decent latency (not a lot).

A lot depends on what software & hardware you're using. Try and find a forum/ bulletin board with other similar users and ask them.

    That's if you haven't already ;)

    Good luck.

    G

  • This isn't very good DJ'ing... :S

  • No, it isn't really, I hadn't been DJing for long; and, as the description says, it was the middle of the night ;)

I notice you're interested in drumming (when looking at your profile). Why don't you post some of your own drumming videos?

  • are you playing music from a cd or the laptop on the denon?

  • Sorry for the delay replying.

The DN S5000 is solely a CD player.

It's the new one S5500 which can do both/ either.

  • can you control with one piece 2 decks by switching

  • Yes, but the XP10 only gives one stereo out - essentially one deck.

Also, it would be annoying having to remember to reset the pitch fader each time you wanted to use it (if you needed to).

  • Very nice!! I want the name of the songs please

  • Thanks!

Just click on the 'more' link in the 'about this video' section.

  • dude i like the xp10 i;m not sure if i want to buy it does it work well and is it a good peace of equipment?

  • yes, it works well, but the pitch fader is a bit light to the touch compared with that of a CD/ TT deck. The buttons are solid if a bit 'clicky' with not much travel. It is all hard plastic, but is very light and does just what it's supposed to for me.

  • Note to self: before shooting a demo vid, CLEAN UP my room! lol Good work though!

  • thanks, but I'm not using either deck to it's full abilities!!! Room - that is clean for me. Why should I clean/ organise my room more than I normally do? To appear something/ someone I'm not? I'm past caring about what people think about that.
