@PhotoshopTippsGerman Hello, it depends on the numbers invlolved; how much RAM and what speed processor does the Powerbook have?
Mine is 1.6Ghz with 1.5Gb of RAM; it worked well for simple mixing/ beatmatching etc, but when I tried too many effects, it started to stutter and became unreliable - this is the last thing you want. Imagine the music suddenly stopping because your laptop froze! The horror!
You might find a better answer on the Traktor forums.
Regarding the PowerBook G4; What are your thoughts about a G4 with 1.5GHZ, 1GB ram, and a 128MB graphics? I'm hopefully getting a new laptop and am hoping that a setup like that will do me well.
I haven't used any Presonus gear, so I can't really comment. Before I got the Saffire, I tried an Edirol FA (whatever) with Traktor, but found it couldn't handle my setup well. The Saffire was pretty good, no real clicks & pops with decent latency (not a lot).
A lot depends on what software & hardware you're using. Try and find a forum/ bulletin board with other similar users and ask them.
yes, it works well, but the pitch fader is a bit light to the touch compared with that of a CD/ TT deck. The buttons are solid if a bit 'clicky' with not much travel. It is all hard plastic, but is very light and does just what it's supposed to for me.
thanks, but I'm not using either deck to it's full abilities!!! Room - that is clean for me. Why should I clean/ organise my room more than I normally do? To appear something/ someone I'm not? I'm past caring about what people think about that.
hey dude do you think that Traktor Pro run a Powerbook?

This isn't very good DJ'ing... :S

No, it isn't really, I hadn't been DJing for long; and, as the description says, it was the middle of the night ;)
I notice you're interested in drumming (when looking at your profile). Why don't you post some of your own drumming videos?

are you playing music from a cd or the laptop on the denon?

Sorry for the delay replying.
The DN S5000 is solely a CD player.
It's the new one S5500 which can do both/ either.

can you control with one piece 2 decks by switching
cristex 3 years ago
Yes, but the XP10 only gives one stereo out - essentially one deck.
Also, it would be annoying having to remember to reset the pitch fader each time you wanted to use it (if you needed to).
