I tried listening to this again pretending that it was back live on the radio. Such an unforgettable, once in a lifetime moment. I cancelled all my plans just to listen to it that day with a beer. I haven't had chills like that in a LONG time, I've missed those dam chills you get from some special pieces of music!
what a ridiculous way to validate an invalid genre of music. and, anyway, why is it "Nero's" symphony? traditionally it's the artist who actually wrote the orchestral parts (i.e. not Nero)
@lazorman8 Just to expand, of course they wrote those pieces, they're not just kids who've started making music, they both have university degrees in it..
@PhoenixUKhardcore Have you ever tried to make dub step? I know it sounds harsh but can you even imagine engineering the sounds required? Where to begin? How to mix? Please, art takes many forms... you're an artistic bigot; and the worst.
@PhoenixUKhardcore As a musician... HE DID RIGHT THOSE PARTS.. Maybe if you knew something about music you would understand. Music is everywhere, music is everything.. Nothing is music.. Music is a thing we do every second of the day. It's a part of us.. Understand that dubstep is a genre of music not for the beats, but for the way it interacts with you... Grow up, learn and live some more... maybe listen to CLASSICAL!
@TheRomnas ok good speech professor but WTF was that thing about music being a part of me....You just sounded like a ********** <-----(word has not been invented yet)
@IxNOvaSNipezxI Music is a part of everything we do dude... and the word hasn't been invented yet? Makes you sound like a *********** <-------- add your stupid word here..
@PhoenixUKhardcore you can't sit down with a copy of logic or reason and, days, weeks or months later, claimed to have created a full orchestral symphony. the real talent behind the vast majority of this performance is presumably Joe Duddell - who is as much a composer as he is a conductor - and, of course, the instrumentalists. nero have heavily overplayed their part in a performance where they were largely outshone by the real musicians
@PhoenixUKhardcore You don't really know what you're talking about, mate. There are shitloads of composers who put their work together using DAWs like Logic and such'n'such. If you're not into a style of music, fine. At least have the grace to not be ignorant about why.
Did You listen that live??anyone? I saw so many bad comments on this when they gone live and yet its awesome, ppl complained about dubstep sounds... this is not dubstep they said... its freaking symphony better then anything
This isn't dubstep... It's something else entirely. It reminds me of some of the tracks off of the soundtrack of The Matrix. I liked it, very dynamic composition. I just don't think it's dubstep at all really...
People who play in orchestras are like gods to me. Every concert is like watching a Super-Super-Group formed from the very best from any other field of music.
@mcrhelana I haven't made a single like or dislike to this video, i may not like it all that much, but don't you agree people are entitled to like or dislike music? I understand you don't care about their opinions of course.

@EmpyreOfTHUGa or NERO's CD: Welcome Reality being the soundtrack of an Epic film and this dubstep symphony being the song that plays during the credits :D
also, before you youtubers rage, this IS my personal opinion on the matter, If you think differently that's fine. But when i looked at the title and saw "Nero's Dubstep Symphony" i expected decent dubstep, not a bunch of "oh oh we are gonna dangle you with ittttt...and only ONCE does actual dubstep EVER hit." this song lacked substance, and was mainly smoke and mirrors. @SubsonikPanda Wrong....such an interesting word. Did you know that all words in every language are in simplistic and basic truth, opinionated? that no matter what the word, even the meaning, it is all up to the person who says it? Bird dance jumping jacks. By personal opinion, i could change that to mean "fuck your fat mother" or "you are awesome dude" or whatever else. Remember, what i stated earlier is my opinion. @SubsonikPanda I'm a music lover, a story writer, and done with you. i was hoping this little battle of wits would end up showing you were fighting with your arms behind your back. But it seems you didn't have any arms in the first place. i pity you. i'll take my sword and gun elsewhere. i hope some time you make more of a challenge for me.
i feel the song was more repetitive building with false drops, then, the RARE drop and go into dubstep, most of the time it was all about making big sounds and the notes tend to repeat for a lot of them. As is, the use of the full orchestra really wasn't needed. Does not compare to Equinox or Reptile in terms of the dubstep I know. as heavy would say "Whut sick mahn sends BABEHS to fight me?" Now stop comparing Skrillex to the two. You are scaring the BBC out of their Dubstep Diapers.
I think it was pretty clear that the instrumentalists didn't think much of what they were playing, but fair enough, i can guarantee none of them listen to dubstep out of choice. However to the acute ear of a dubstep listener that was a seriously sweet tune!
@rednals Not at all, but are you suggesting that the members of the Philharmonic orchestra do listen to dubstep out of choice? Look at their facial expressions. Yeah they're concentrating but they just look bland, watch a violinist playing properly and you would see what i mean. It's the same as if i have to play a song that i don't enjoy it's going to be obvious as i cant get into it. If i was playing a song that requires no skill but i enjoy playing it, then it would be visible in my face.
dont give a shit what they listining to bitch! this is there job, play fucking instrument(whathever) music style and go home after. what is your problem you sick fuck!? are you fucking stupid? do you think people playing instruments daily(as a job) enjoy music? some yes-some not. well paid(happy), home after, smiley face, glass of wine and LIFE GOES ON!
@NateForLiberty They look like any other orchestra playing any other orchestral piece. They are doing what they do that is all, and most certainly not lame.
@drummer4life6988 Orchestral musicians are incredibly nuanced things. It takes direct experience with these strange creations to know the subtleties of their movements.
No, they don't look like any orchestra playing any ol' composition. They look like they are earning a paycheck, and that is all.
I never tire of listening to this, I'm not an orchestra fan as such nor am I an avid dubstep fan but absolutely love this. To the haters, once you get ya head round the fact that the orchestra are making the sound with their own hands rather than using electronics it will dawn on you just how amazing this actually is. I will listen again and again and again. Love it and those that produced it :))
I think this is amazing, I think its perfectly balanced, I love how they have respected the orchestra's sound. I think it would of been too overpowering if there was more dubstepness. Mind blowing!
In my opinion it sounds too similar to an epic song created for a movie like Lord of the Rings/Matrix/Inception... I know that there are limitations because it is an orchestra that is producing the music, but I think that it was missing the dubstep/electronica part... great song but it could have done a better job of combining the two genres.
Amazing..:)

The combo is epic. It's very obvious this wasn't filmed in Hd. The 1080p is horrible.

@lfcard It may have originally been uploaded in 1080p, this guy isnt the original uploader or filmer. He probably just ripped the low res version.

Love it and those that produced it :))

sound very much like somthing Hans Zimmer would write.

I think this is amazing, I think its perfectly balanced, I love how they have respected the orchestra's sound. I think it would of been too overpowering if there was more dubstepness. Mind blowing!
Seager123 2 months ago
there is too much build up with the orchestra and not enough dubstep in it

In my opinion it sounds too similar to an epic song created for a movie like Lord of the Rings/Matrix/Inception... I know that there are limitations because it is an orchestra that is producing the music, but I think that it was missing the dubstep/electronica part... great song but it could have done a better job of combining the two genres.

the dubstep part at the beginning was the worst part. middle to end was the best when the people were actually performing as one.
