  • possibly my favourite Marillion song

  • I love the vocals @ 5:20

  • ohhh my good it´s soo good I love it brilliant work tnak you marillion for 15 fantastic albums :`)

  • This one is absolutly wonderful ! So intense !

  • Simply amazing!

  • Fish couldn't reach this level in a thousand years.

  • Adjectives fail me.

  • this is the best part of the song...

  • 4:43 fantastic

  • I don't know why Hogarth always remind me of Peter Gabriel. I can see the connection between the two, but make no mistakes, HOGARTH IS NOT COPYING GABRIEL! Both are unique but are the same time, kind of similar. This band is in the same group of Floyd, Yes, Genesis and more recently, Porcupine Tree. Simply among the best!

  • I've never known a band that seems to so genuinely care about what they are doing. These guys really mean it, and the emotion they put into every performance is testament to that.

This is in their top ten best, without a doubt.

  • what can I say.... genial

  • my god the ending is so incredible.

  • where have i been for 6 years? H puts across the dispare in this song awsomely.

Quite possibly the song marillion have ever written and thats saying something, what a masterpeice.

  • wow saw marillion at lemington spa earlier in the year and they opened with this.Blew me away, apsolutely fukin awsome.well done for puting this on ,i need 2 get me a copy.

  • This song is a pure masterpiece. Lyrics are brilliants and the performance of the band is quite awesome! I wish they will make another album like Marbles, one of these days.

  • Steve Hogarth is simply fantastic!

  • EXELENTE ROLA, GRAN BANDA

  • Marillion creates atmospheres like no other band. The whole middle section of this piece builds just about as perfectly as possible and Steve Hogarth puts more emotion into his vocals than pretty much any other singer out there. Freaking amazing band. Totally badass.

  • le grand frisson assurément !

  • Tout simplement génial !

  • Marillion carajo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The end is simply fantastic. Yeahhhhhhhhh.

  • "I must watch in dread as he's cruel to you."

    M. I miss you.

I'll never regret loving you. despite my pain and emptyness, my soul is incomplete. kiss kiss, bang bang.

    -your Duncan.

  • "I cannot live

I cannot lift a hand to stop him

Lift a hand to stop him

    I don't exist

    What can I do

    What can I do?!"

Gives me shivers... especially the way h is performing this part.

  • LOOOOOOVE MARILLION!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • mejor banda lejos

  • bloody amazing , love it ..

  • very good song......marillion:always in love!!!!

  • Holy Shit that is awesome!!!

I love it off the CD ,but that performance takes it ALLL!!!!! God they are great!Hogarth you rock dude!!

  • This sure is a masterpiece

I only wish that this song was uploaded in one piece instead of two parts

  • I had an orgasm at the end of the song.

This is what music should be.

  • why wait for the end I do it through the whole 9 mins. LOL I saw them do this in Boston at a small club and was about 5 feet in front of H my god We also got to meet them after the show and after that my buddy and I sat in the bar in the next room and drank beers with Rothers for about 2 hours. What great people

  • el final de esta canción es increíble

  • Saw this live for the first time in November 2008, London.

Bloody hell, it was brilliant. The whole place erupted afterwards.

Dark, complex, moving prog-rock at its zenith.

  • Wow... I was introduced to Marillion in/around 1985 when I saw them open for Rush. I didn't know who they were at the time, but was blown away by their performance of Misplaced Chilhood in its entirety... I was a big fan in the 80's, but have NEVER heard any of thier work without Fish until right now... now I'm sorry I missed out on so much of their work in the last 18 years.

  • "Why does we live here on Earth?"...

so we can listen to Marillion's music!!!

To listen to a masterpiece like this it's a pleasure, a gift!!!!

  • Great, fabulous, extraordinary.......

    Lucas (From Brazil)

  • this is the best and more complex song of marillion from this strange engine and of all their history , emotional, progresive ,dark masterpiece progresive , the best especially the end , and ocean cloud other masterpiece of 17 minutes .

  • ...only that it comes from "Marbles" :)

  • *.*

  • bloody brilliant.

  • E' forse in assoluto la mia preferita.

    Marillion Forever.

  • Awesome!

  • There are no words good enough to describe this masterpiece

  • Stevie Boy's Marillion had become for me the one and only formula of life and I'm afraid nothing even nobody is not able to change it at all. Listenning these men serves as a faithfull insight into our soul. The H's "existence" has an unmeasurable value for my life and we can't talk here about music in general, especialy regarding this song where lyrics reflect as an answer on question: Why does we live here on Earth?....

    Because

  • SUPERB!

  • tremendo

  • THat´s Amaizing !, a great performance!...

  • awesome. H and the boys at their finest. Works best at +28 on the car stereo.

  • this is facking master!!!

  • omg hogarth, he must have been tortured to have such an emotive voice with so much pain in it bless the lil cream puff xxx

  • Talk to me, notice me - or leave me be,

this song is a masterpiece and I believe the bands best ever. Superb

  • SHIVERS.

  • A masterpiece!

  • One of their best song .. Probably the best !

  • as good as first part.
