@ThePTChem I'm not sure, it was a gust of some sort anyway. It was very gusty and warm that day with the wind shifting all over the place.

@fourthwind1 Yes I reckon that's because it was quite windy there and the wind was about 45 degrees to it so that probably makes it appear as if it's going a little slower.

@umarabid It is called Myrtle Avenue. It is near Hatton Cross tube station (about 5 mins walk). Look it up on Google Maps. It is at the South East corner of Heathrow.

@huzaifaq123 Pretty firm alright. Most other landings that morning were similar due to the breezy conditions. They were all planting them down on the deck pretty firmly.

i work next to Staines bridge so I see these come up from Heathrow all the time. From the side they look squat because of the height of the fuselage vs the length, but when you see it like this it shows how massive it it. Loved the bit when it was coming in over the trees, looks so imposing / impressive. Nice shot!

@andybabig Thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the video. Yes they do look quite stubby from directly side on. One thing which struck me when this one went over was how quiet it was compared to a 747.

@radar050976 Yeah I agree. You can always tell a 747 is coming as they have that almost whining sort of sound to them. The A380 has a rumble to it but you don't hear it until its right over you.

shame there's so much in the way of the view of the plane there, I know how hard that that is trying to film something landing overhead you think it's far away the next thing it's zoomed past, good job.

@sunnyjimjiom Thanks. I practiced my panning on some "lesser" planes before the A380 arrived :) Yes it is unfortunate that there is so much in the way for getting a good view of the landing. Sadly this is as good as it gets at Heathrow due to the obvious tight security restrictions.
