  • thanq soooooooooooo much,

  • Love it!!

  • Very clever! Nice job!!

  • I like the two tone metal effects, how did you get it to show up like that? I may of missed something(?).

  • @Blessed2BeeAlive Sorry - I don't understand your question. I only used one metal, which is embossed and the other squares are chipboard, not metal. The only possible two-tone effect would be from embossing the metal squares, I guess, creating 3d bumps on the metal. Does this help you?

  • @whimsicalwendy

Yes: it is clear now. It appears like a shinny metal, & the other squares appears to be metal: they look nice together from what I can see of this video.

  • Great card, what is the brand of scissors that you used to cut out the can??

  • @esthercraft I used Fiskars scissors =)

  • Great card! I'm trying to find the stamp you used for the sentiment I searched Fun Doodle Tag Stamp Set (and other variations) and I haven't been able to locate it on MyGrafico. Would you be so kind is to provide more info?

  • @rosemarychee1 These are no longer available at MyGrafico, but the link to the designer's website, Pixels&IceCream, can be found here (without spaces!): pixelsandicecream. com/2009/02/doodle-frames-set-1-499. html

  • @whimsicalwendy WOW . . . such a prompt response! Thanks to your help, I purchased the set from pixels & ice cream. I'm fairly new to this community, so I sometimes find myself stumbling around. There are sooo many resources, so little time! Thanks again for your help!

  • Great Card!

  • Great card!

  • Very impressive! I love it!

  • Very nicely done! My question is, can you move past ironing and right to embossing to flatten the card THEN cut out the squares? Staple idea was just a clever touch of texture. Well done and thanks for your time and tutorial!

    cheers

    dave m

  • @calbear1313 I guess you can skip the ironing part. I just did it so I had something flat to work with - less likely to cut myself on sharp edges that way! =)

  • Awesome card! Would love to make one kind of scared of the soda can lol!

  • What a fabulous card! Your creative use of the soda can is truly unique. I would love to give your technique a shot,(and pray that I don't make a bloody mess while doing it!)

  • Thanks for your comment!

This is just a standard stapler from an office shop...can't even remember where!!

The decoupage flowers I bought from The Range in Telford (UK). I'm sure if you did a search on google they'd be available online though ;0)
