@victoriarobertson9 I agree. When I'm sprinting to the cargo plane to catch it before it takes off, and Atlantis of the Sands is blaring, I get goosebumps. This game is filled with impossibly epic moments. Only people who have played this game understand.

Of all the game soundtracks for fall this year, its really a toss up between "Uncharted 3" and "Gears of War 3". This song kind of makes you want to miss a jump or reload a checkpoint on purpose on the level it plays. The same can be said for "Gears of War 3" when you are clearing the hallway to get to Adam Fenix's lab. Both awesome composers.

@EJArendee The element of surprise for me. I was totally not expecting Uncharted 2 to be so phenomenal. The step from Drake's Fortune to Among Thieves was amazing. The problem with pulling of a hat trick in a situation like this is that the the previous game was so good, it's possible to ever exceed it. Still, I applaud Naughty Dog for such a great effort. The game is great overall, but just shy of Uncharted 2's level of greatness, IMO.

@JohnnyBoy7267 To each his own. It seems that based on reviews and general opinion, people liked Uncharted 2 more. Uncharted 3 had better, more epic set pieces, like the Cargo Plane (though the fact that they showed off ALL of this at Gamescom really killed it for me), the Cruise Ship and the Caravan chase. That being said, the game had pacing problems, whereas Uncharted 2's pacing was perfection. FOUR puzzles in one hour? Uncharted 3 was more ambitious, but ultimately Uncharted 2 was better.

@ZACKFAIR1205 well the puzzles were more challenging and better made in uc3 the soundtrack is more epic,graphics and multiplayer is so much better,and the pacing was perfect in both uc2 and 3 but i think uc3 has better pacing first half of the game was concentrated more on story,background story,puzzles and other half on action and epicness! while in uc2 everything was mixed

botom line uncharted 2 and 3 are the best games i've ever played!

I think that there is a reason that Uncharted 2 has an average review score of 96.41% on GameRankings, the sixth highest rated game ever, whereas Uncharted 3 only has 91.97% But either way, whether people liked Thieves or Deception better, it's all opinion. Neither is "better," per se. The Uncharted series is one of my favourites, so I love them both. I just felt that Uncharted 2 was better.

@ZACKFAIR1205 yeah to each his own,but score doesn't matter because there is rarely a third game in the trilogy that is better reviewed than it's predecessor and the part in the desert is a masterpiece man there isn't any similar heart breaking scene like that in uc2 or any other game i agree that uc3 didn't had the same spark as uc2 but to me it was a better game as an experience story,pacing,puzzles,epic scenes...

It's funny you say that, because that whole scene was an awful like Uncharted 2's scene, where Nate is trudging through the freezing, blizzardy tundra, slowly bleeding out from a bullet wound after nearly dying from a train that was precariously hanging off a mountain's cliff. Considering the basic premises of the two scenes are quite similar, it's kind of odd to say that one is "better" than the other.

@JohnnyBoy7267 Totally agreed, U3 was superior on every aspects of the game, it felt more personal IMO, the relationship between Sully and Nate was just awesome, like father and son, very similar to Marlowe and Talbot, it was like if Drake finally meets his counterpart.

For me Uncharted 3 is superior to Uncharted 2.
