The sound production here is actually very good. The rest I'm afraid is not so. The vocal is all over the place both tuning and timing wise and the middle-8 is a veritable car crash.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. You did the WHOLE song good, not just the middle 8--an AMAZING job! Not many of us could pick up a bass guitar or even the keyboards and figure out what you just did. Top-notch 5 ***** performance!
What a fabulous find on your channel. There is something about the bass lines in Stings music that make the songs so good, and great listening...as this is.
This is better than the original. Who needs a band when they have a mixing desk and can play all the parts? This is like a music appreciation lesson for me. Today, I learnt the importance of the base guitar. Just two strings pounding out the rhythm on which the whole song sits... brilliant!
