FYI, there's no point mining the pressure plate because the dispenser is set on a 5-clock, which would render mining it useless. Besides, trying to mine something while getting shot at is pretty much impossible. To make placing blocks impossible, use half-steps, pressure plates, or rails. All of you just have been pwned :P

Easier way to get the items out would be to have pistons with water running underneth them so make it about 7 or 8 long, then have a drop and some more water to catch the items that way you don't have to enter and make the same mistake of dieing. you know just saying.

@TheAttacker732 filling a dispenser with TNT doesn't make it explode, it just drops the TNT like any other object, so you could just walk over and pick up some TNT. and with the new update TNT can only be detonated from redstone or fire.
