@Oilasor925 actually when i started screaming to mudvayne and let my throat get used to it. im sure thats not how youre supposed to do it. but i can do lamb of god too. it hurts at first for sure.

note that he has added alot of effects to his voice. His natural screaming voice will most probably sound very different

@Ecko486 Yeah, but like I said if I were to try to even scream like they do my voice would get all fucked up as well as my throat. So I was just wondering if there was a certain technique or are people just able to do or do they get used to the pain.

@Oilasor925 Start out slow when your screaming with warm ups to get your vocal cords to unstrain when your screaming. Then when you scream make sure that if you start to feel pain that you stop for awhile and try again later.

@Ecko486 Its mostly reverb and overlapping, not much altering his voice though. Multiple recoridngs is the most I would think.

yeah it's technique...Lamb of God uses the same technique I use. I have a few good examples of me screaming over a few lamb of god/after the burial songs. It's fun once you get the hang of it. But no technique is completely harm-free...I'm sure there are videos on YouTube on how to do it properly.

Back in 2004 I started screaming, doing it wrong, and wacked my voice for a while. For the past 4 years or so I've been doing it right and it's been smooth sailing. I'm still improving though.
