Am I imagining things or is Marty sort of the country "Liberace"...He is pretty flamboyant! Not that there is anything wrong with that! It just seems odd that a guy can be that "colorful" and as popular as he is and not one redneck says anything about it. I think thats ok if he is a little "light" in his boots...at least he is keeping alive the essence of real country music...the folk music of people of European descent who live in the good ol' USA!!

i opened for lester and earl in 1968...my last show we backed up connie at mc clures bean festibal around the middle 90's...all were great to work with

Talk about somebody with class, Marty Stuart. I thought the hair and outfits were to much then when I started watching him, he's the real deal. Earl Scruggs...... your the best. I heard your interview on PBS and enjoyed that as well. Last, Lester Flatt you are remembered and missed.

hey nice vid but i just wish that they would let eddie stubbs play the orange blossom special in one episode. he would out smoke everybody on set!

At 3:15 and 3:49 Earl still has a little of that Earl Scruggs "bounce" he used to have 40 years ago.
Earl is without a doubt the best "banjer" player EVER.
