::smiles:: You are so beautiful and means so very much to me that you posted it to my own Video. I am humbled..::teary::: I have added your Video to my front page and will keep it there for a while. This is so amazing your preformance. This reminds me of the countless hours my sister and mother would play over and over again. Bach is my favortie composer along side Puccini. This was fantastic! I loved love loved it!
(+) you really enjoyed playing the piece, you put a lot into it, and it came across in the music.
(-) anyone else find the crossover-esque embellishments a bit.. distasteful? when i was listening to the video, at first i was comforted with myra hess' excellent arrangement. then, i find the Great Master's sacred chorale desecrated with cheesy pop-sounding embellishments, the piece cut short, and given a premature ending, altered in such a way that would make Bach turn in his grave.
bach would have embellished much more; i highly doubt he would turn in his grave over a premature ending, or anything of the sort. its just a video taken from a 3 hour playing session... but thanks for visiting and seeing the enjoyment part ~ that's what YouTube is all about.
Nice. I've heard the music but never seen the English translation. I like it. I see, as most musicalologists, you neglect to mention PDQ Bach. I'll forgive the oversight.
Beautiful piano! A Yamaha! Yes! I like the keyboard action and sound on 'em better than Steinway's. Sounds beautiful. Nice piece of music there Eli. I really, really enjoyed it. Thanks for posting. Koby
Hey this is very nice, I've played Bach and it's no mean feat to play it with technical colidity and bring out the emotion in the compoition. But great job! I like it :-). if you'll permit me to offer one constructive criticism, I found it slightly too heavy for my taste, you know, a bit too much pedal and forte. But that is entirely a matter of opinion. Great stuff :-)
and i said that cause when I play that Bach piece, it is common to go right in to Let it Be because the harmonic pattern is very similar.... stay tuned!
and I want to plug YOUR channel and the new series you put up about the economic hitman... featured on one of my channels (not sure which one though!)!
*bows* well, I appreciate your comments - and am not looking for notice (hell - who has time!) - but if you think sharing the video would enlighten a few, then feel free! (Though I think the google vids are a slightly higher quality)
As to the random nature of the comments - they all seem a bit random to me as I only understand the smallest portion of them =) But I find the language and culture very interesting - so I try to add to my lexicon as I can!
there are not enough minutes in a day, or days in a lifetime to do all we want to do; quite the paradox this life is ~ but one of the things we CAN do is help turn others on to the TRUTH and good knowledge of which there is so much to be inspired by. thanks for what you do! i a pre she 8 u stopping by...
IMHO, the FIVE most important words to learn in any language (besides, of course MUSIC) are (in no particular order):
who (darle)
what (nani)
where (doko)
when (itsu)
why (nah-zeh) ...Followed of course by HOW (that is hard to put in to one word in japanese, but do-yatte is close)! from there, its up2eachOFus2figureOUT!
so true, so true. I used to think Japanese would be impossible for me to learn (and I'm thinking written language is nowhere near my soon-to-learn list) but after a few immersion incidents, I do believe that I could learn a significant amount of the spoken language were I a resident of a Japanese community.
as an odd aside, I LOVE hearing Japanese girls speak and saying cute things like kawaii and neh or des(u)... it gives me a weird bubbly sensation like listening to fun music =)
man, with the hard hitting aspect of your channel, that is the last thing I thought I'd hear you say ~ but hey! its TRUE! maybe better than music at first... but they have their not so cute side too, ask my X!
the written language is probably the key ~ think of it as art and then it become extremely contagious.
As serious and hard-hitting as some of my videos and commentary can be, I've learned one thing in life, and that is to take joy in simple things. And while I am far from a 'happy' person (I still fret for those who suffer), I still try to find something to be happy about each day.
I love shoujo anime - I'm practically an addict, so all of that cutesy Japanese stuff really tugs at me =)
yes Pat, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez! and what about Nichole? are you there my friend? how about that Blondie video?!?!? we LOVE your channel. thanks for stopping by and commenting. much a pre she 8 ted!
