  • NOT FRIGGIN KONOBELS NO

  • I'm disappointed the damns we put in place to manage the flood waters were not....managing the flood waters?

Long ago, the river was so low you could easily walk across it. I have to wonder, if unaltered, the river would have managed the flood waters much better?

  • song sucks

  • thanks

  • what is this song called?

    i love it!

  • @pizzipuff "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence

  • @Omgvlogz I was on them all the time after the flood. Everything is fine except for zoo america. some animals were killed though.

  • OMG PLEASE TELL ME THE ROLLER COASTERS ARE OKAY!!!!

  • :(

  • Were the Bison okay?

  • @youpooper18 Unfortunately no, one drowned, and they shot the other one because it was too late and they didn't want it to suffer.

  • @marcoandhaley That's good.

  • for the swatara Creek, this was THEE worst flood in recorded history..second worst flood for the susquehana

  • i was at the susquahanna river almost over the wall

  • could you please tell me when this flood was?? thanks:)

  • @divadevil123 It was the week of September 5

  • I cried when they killed the bison i was at zoo americia when they did it. it was so hard to watch i was balling

  • Great slide show. i go to ep and i had to get out of school early and my friends house got dystroyed

  • We needed some of this here in Kansas. Just not the floods.

  • i live in isle of que and my house got destroyed :(

  • @chocolateman1999 I'm so sorry! :(

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOY THE PIZZA HUT STORE!!!!

  • Wow. Great slide show. I still remember turning on the news and seeing the pizza hut and Wendy's under water. My school had to let out early that day because the conodoguinet was flooding all the roads. I still can't believe the pizza hut was in a FLASH FLOOD.

  • @conodoguinetlover Thanks! I know it was crazy! My school was supposed to let out early but then they kept the students there until it was safe to go home. I'm glad I was sick that day!

  • i was just in hershey on sunday. i was at the park, and it's amazing how they've seemed to recover so quickly, a lot of the bathrooms were flooded, but they have little trailers set up, which are actually quite nice. the one by the great bear though sounds like the bear is about to go through the bathroom lol. btw, the great bear is my favorite ride.

excellent video, and great song to go with.

  • Our laundry room flooded during the hurricane and during one really heavy rainfall when the power went out. The power went out during the heavy rainfall, making the sub pump stop working. Within a half our my brother, mom and I (my dad was driving home from work) were filling two buckets and a trash can with water to keep my laundry room from flooding! :O

  • I was in the hospital during this storm and didn't get to see or take pictures.. This is sad, but great eyes for those who didn't witness.. Thank you... Great job, great song.. Be proud.

  • When I saw that chair from Pizza Hut I started bawling :( Such tragedy :(

  • we went to hershy park a week before this happed and great video ,mucic and pictures

  • Its ashame this flood did not destroy and kill my ex wife and her house

  • From talking to my friends that live in Harrisburg everyone over there were ok and Hershey was not ok, but they are recovering pretty quickly. It was so sad that the bison's died :'( very sad!

  • My freinds house is gone.

  • I got flooded I can kinda get to school and walmart

  • My family lives near a lot of these places that flooded. Thanks for putting this together

  • 4:41 ='(

  • my house was near that flooding but thank God the house didn't flooded !!

  • Thanks for putting the slide show together

  • the bison drowned :[....

  • @endocarp They were euthanized, actually. The park officials did this so they wouldn't suffer by drowning.

  • @deeray41 I guess there was no where to evacuate them? :[

  • @endocarp The water rose so fast, and there was no way to rescue them. The staff was heartbroken that they had to be put down. One of my FB friends posted a statement from the zoo officials, and it was a decision they did not make lightly.

  • Love the video I just visited all of these places im from ohio. Just a quick little for for ur info the pizza hut is actually in Hummelstown. not tring to critize just a little note

  • this is so sad

  • Prayers Are with All those effected...

  • wow, we just were in hershey park for labor day weekend. crazy to see it like this now.....feel bad for everyone up there

  • It didnt rain any worse than it has before I think it's because of Irene right before this. The ground was already very wet. I live in Lebanon and we didnt get it nearly as bad as Hershey and Hummelstown. I feel bad for everyone who live there :(

  • This makes me wanna cry. :/

  • The bison shown in this video were shot and killed by officials to save them the pain of drowning? Seems pretty lame to me, and it's hard to believe they couldn't get these poor animals to shelter once it became apparent that flooding was occurring.

  • All I can think is what is causing this; I think it would have happened if man were here or not.

    this happens...

  • We will recover.

  • Poor bison

  • the pizza hut is in hummlestown

i get freee tickets to hershey park

no hershey park next year nice vid =D

  • Great pics thanks.

  • Wow this makes me cry as the place I used to live is now under water... :(

  • Love the random photo of flood of 1972 haha...next time we should think before building below sea level.

  • just wanted to let ya know that the chair you have as pizza hut is incorrect it actually belongs to wendys i know because i work at wendys

  • Overwhelming.

  • Great photos...if you can call photos of such devastation 'great' I believe the video would have had more impact if it contained more pictures of people's homes and how their lives will be affected other than fast food and amusement parks. None the less, kudos to you for putting them together! Thank you. This vast flooding from NY on down the Susquehanna valleys will continue to haunt us all who were even remotely affected. Prayers for those who lost everything!

  • We will continue to pray for everyone in Northeastern PA affected by this horrible tragedy. I went to College in Dallas PA and have many friends that live in the surrounding areas. I hope that you and your families and pets are safe. I hope that our Country will come together and help out our brothers and sisters who have lost so much and continue to lend help where needed.

  • Great song for this slideshow you should be in Hollywood

  • @orbpupil Thanks so much!!

  • most of Marietta pa is under water, and the river park (bungalow park) in Columbia was evacuated, our river park/ boat docks are completely under water....

  • how on this world could there be 8 dislikes? do you realize the amount of tragedy were all dealing with in these parts of PA?! i hope to a higher power that these dislikes were for what happened, and not this educational and horrible video. great job with this video, all of this is a great representation of what happened to so many people. So much repair is going to have to be done in the next year, not only to public places, but to peoples own homes. Be safe, and help out where ever you can!

  • this is so sad it makes me want to cry this is were i grow up its just not right my very sad about this

  • These are all places I've visited or lived until 3 years ago. It's very sad. But thank you for sharing.

  • See youtube "9/11 Don't Get You to Heaven"

  • Bison are dead they killed they so they won't die in the flood:(

  • My ant lives behind that pizza hut she had to call the firefighter 3 times!

  • unbelievable destruction :( But um, are the bison ok?

  • the nature is vomiting back worldwide

  • What a great slideshow! You did a phenomenal job representing the area. My heart goes out to the people struggling to recover. I heard that the bison were euthanized. Best thing given the horror of drowning.

  • Best wishes to all those out there.

  • @KlingKlangworkshop Thank you very much!

  • @KlingKlangworkshop ... ty pictures does not explain 1/2 of what some of us went through

  • @angela13812003 I can appreciate that. We'v heard nothing about this over here.

  • Zoo America didn't do shit to try and help the bison.

  • Gee, do you thinik we Pennsylvanians will EVER recover from this disaster ?

Or do you think we'll continually complain about the government's slow reaction to our disaster for 10 years, and blame everyone else, like folks in some a place a bit further south in the state of Louisiana?

Or do you think we'll pick ourselves up, pump out our basements, get things done, fixed and move on? Hmmm, I think the latter.

  • PIZZA HUUUUUUTTT :O

  • Ask my basement how it's feeling right now...

  • I remember the flood of '72. The only thing you could see of the 7-11 by the Swatty in Humelstown was the weather vain on the tippy top.

  • Holy shit. It's scary to see that Carlisle barely missed that. If we were just a couple more miles to the east..... not good.

  • great slideshow n love the music...everyone who is effected my heart goes out to you <3 <3

  • I love Evenessence<3 and I just heard on ABC 27 a flooded road collapsed! Down here in Lebanon got hit pretty bad. Almost as bad as Hershey in some parts. And that Pizza Hut collapsed.

  • @bungiecordstudios Glad you liked the song! and that is terrible!

  • Great slideshow. Thanks for sharing it. And by the way....I love that song!

  • @irishangels6 Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!

  • @marcoandhaley I love the music--you did a great job with this. I grew up in PA, so this is hard to watch, but the music was a really good choice, I thought.

  • @maryt67 Thank you so much! Were really glad you think so.

  • This is just one small area that has been affected by this horrible storm. I have a sister who is coping with a partially collapsed roof from this storm. This has been a hard hit to an already struggling area. All that are not affected need to count their blessings. Please continue to pray for all those affected.

  • Great Video ~ The Music was God Awful though and Very Distracting, Thank God for the Mute button.

  • @TJB63 Sorry it bothered you.

  • wow i was scared to death my house was gonna be hit i dont live that far from hershey but everything of mine was fine rip bison :(

  • Dramatic pictures! The railroad underpass at Woodlayne Court looked pretty bad - storm drain backups caused almost as much trouble in Middletown as the flood did. Was at the Duke Street bridge in Hummelstown on Thursday afternoon and the bridge was totally submerged. I'll send you a couple of stills.

  • @westwindschild19 Ok thank you very much!

  • awesome slideshow... i just posted 2 slideshow tributes on my channel....please feel free to come over and view! so sad...

  • @laurenharding37 Ok, we will! And thank you!

  • Please know we are lifting you up in our prayers. May God be with you all.

  • @bagladymn Thank you very much!

  • GREAT VIDEO. STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE BISON WEREN'T SAVED :-(

  • Hersheypark got pretty messed up! I lived in a house in the campground a few yrs ago! We got flooded, nuthing like this thou!! Its goin down now. Wat a mess

  • Wow.... My family goes to the Campground and lodge... Guess Highmeadow is out of site... How's the lodge anyone know?

  • I frequently ride or drive through many of the areas shown in this video, and I feel deeply saddened by all the destruction wrought by this storm. It is one of the biggest stories of the year, yet it gets less airplay in the national media than rumors of unconfirmed terrorist threats, or Jackie Kennedy's memoirs, despite the fact that this storm has upended the lives and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of people in this region.

  • Very informative....so many good times at Hershey and Knoebels in my life!! So sad for all! The music was way too loud and annoying....wonder why they did that??? Had to turn off the sound. But thanks for putting this together.

  • I'm from harriburg pa

  • ulits funny u sent that to me I'm from pa

  • @marcoandhaley these are some awesome pics but they don't accurately show the destruction at Hersheypark and Knoebels...go to the their facebook pages and you will see what I mean...good job, though!

  • @TennisGirl0711 Thanks! We are thinking of making another one using different pictures. if you have any you think are good pictures, email them to us and we might put them on the slide show. our email is marcoandhaley@gmail.com. and put your youtube name. and any music ideas for it

  • thank -you for sharing this

  • @troutgirl54 Thank you for watching!

  • @redlandboys Thank you so much!

  • @redlandboys Thank you for watching!

  • Awesome job man, I live in PA too, it sucks so bad with all this rain and what happened to places like this :/, sucks.

  • @TheRubbyroo Thanks

  • Awsome pics. We were at Hershey park Sunday, so to see it now under water is unreal. We got alot of flooding here in Ephrata too. All my pics from Denver, Reamstown and Ephrata are unbelievable. I was taking pics even after the water started going down.

  • 7 people are dry.

  • @birch000000 Yep!!

  • zomg a chair..

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for posting!!

  • @flutist218 Welcome! Glad you liked it!

  • I wish my town middletown wasnt underwater >_< im glad i live closer to highspire but still this is scary and nothing any of us would think to happen! Everyone stay safe and god bless you if you have a loss you are dealing with....Good luck everyone

  • Now you just have to add in all the current flooding in Harrisburg :(

  • It's not over yet...as of today 9/9/11 we have had rain here for 8 days straight. The river is still rising. We are to get rain for 3 more days. Please be safe. I have never seen anything like this in my own back yard.

  • @tsmyz I know. Thank you and stay safe yourself!

  • @tsmyz don't complain here in texas everything is catching on fired due to the lack of rain . its completely dry. our rivers have dropped 9 feet almost. fish are dying by the thousands . people further south are having to evacuate due to the lack of water. sure wish we could get some flooding down here.

  • @lonebiker23 Don't complain? I'm sorry but I understand what you guys are going through sucks as well. Everyone from these areas in PA are going through a lot too. No one said that your situation isn't bad. I am truly sorry for everything that's going on in Texas and I hope everyone stays safe. Same goes to the people in Pennsylvania. Two different, but somehow similar situations. Don't be so insensitive to the people who have to go through this flooding. A lot of damage is done by flooding too

  • UNBELEIVEABLE.... Nice job on clips...Picked a great tune for it.

  • @nekospop007 Thank You!

  • Poor Knoebels.... That place is too awesome and amazing to deserve any of this

  • NO NOT THE PIZZA HUT !

  • @gottascuba I know! Love that place!

  • Thanks for sharing...I'm from up around there... Wow! Was a child there in '72.

  • @basicband Thank you for watching!

  • Nice job

  • @0bostonraw0 Thank You!

  • Great presentation Marco and Haley... so tragic, praying for all involved !

  • Awesome slideshow!! Thanks for doing this it took much time.

  • @amieplannk Thanks so much! Glad you like it!

  • @ winterhaven...i hope you spend an eternity in hell with the devil shoving pineapples up your ass...ill never look back at this video or post so feel free to reply bitching. Have a goodday asshole :)

  • I certainly don't know the whole story but do know that local vets and rescue tried very hard to get to Zoo America to help and we just couldn't get there. The water rose fast. To my knowledge, the rest of the animals are safe, and that's commendable. A Bison evacuation is a big event. They're scared and their instincts are telling them to flee. I chose to believe Zoo America did their best. I believe they were able to safely eauthanize the Bison when all else failed,.

  • @kkinney184 Thanks for explaining!

  • @kkinney184 be advised everything that could have been done was done. We are all sad by this lose and to the brave people from Zoo America who risked more than you will know, we understand your loss.

  • eeyore2871 - my only concern with the bison is that with the heavy rains coming Hershey Zoo should have looked to take action sooner. When they said they moved them to higher grounds but they were frightened and would not come to the zookeepers why did they not have tranquilizers available and people available. I am sure there were firemen around that could have been called.... It is done and over but something they really need to learn from so no other animals are harmed in the future...

  • thanks for catching a few pics of Millersburg. We in Northern PA get forgotten most of the time and yet we had areas hit in this flood as well....many home evacuated and some really flooded out.....

  • @tbears58 You're welcome! I hope everyone is ok!

  • pizza hut and wendys are not in hershey they are in hummelstown. flood waters hit too fast to get to the bison. Those trainers are devistated. They did the humane thing, drowning would have been worse for those poor animals. Unless you were standing there you don't know, therefore don't judge. People are doing their best there.

  • This is insane

  • i def agree zoo america failed big time those bison didn't ask for the flood makes me wanna go rescue them

  • I'm in the side of Hershey so its not that bad here......... But the rest of Hershey is litterly gone:(

  • @goolarg I know...it is so terrible!

  • Thank you for your heart-felt coverage! Very commendable!

  • @tubite2 Your Welcome! Thanks for watching!

  • this is insane i was at Hershey on Sunday before all this came i even was at zoo america and saw a show at the aquatheater and amptheater and on the way home we stopped at that wendy"s thats next to the pizza hut on Hershey drive. There was lots of places everywhere that we messed up by the flood some places bridges collasped and roads were washed away.

  • Lancaster, dover, york county flooded about 4ft of water

  • thanks for posting. my husband is a firefighter and on wed night the lebanon county was was backed up 180something calls it was wild!

  • They kept misspelling the word ENTRANCE around 4:00 and 4:15 that irked me worse than the bison drowning, and I love animals and i live in PA

  • @topfintuna Sorry that it bugged you. we were in a rush towards the end with the captions so that happened. Sorry again

  • @marcoandhaley just doing my job

  • This was mostly of hershey, there are so many other places that are ruined, the road to get into my town collapsed and washed away....

  • @Boomertc16 We are thinking of making another. if we do, we will be having more places in it.

  • @Boomertc16 and not all the pics are tagged right. Pizza Hut and Wendy's as well are in Hummelstown.

  • Omg I was just at Hershey on Sunday before all this rain started!!!!!!

  • GEORGE BUSH HATES... WAIT, I MEAN OBAMA HATES WHITE PEOPLE!

  • omg that looks bad but interesting.
