Mitsubishi is an underrated car; I'd rather have one than a Toyota or Nissan! The Galant is a great car; the rear drive one I heard was very luxurious. The Montero will go anywhere, and has great ground clearance. I hated to see the Starion go, for it was a "tour de force" type car, and it was ahead of its time. Those cars were quick, and it was a far better car than the 3000GT. Starion's styling was very sharp, and the car was the best in its class. It would be nice to see it back like it was.
I DO live in the rust belt, so any of them that were here are probably junked or in people's back yards giving kids who play on them tetanus. But even those that still survive are blowing dark blue smoke and have been since about '91.
Nice defeatest attitude. They are out there... and yes, being over 20 years old... you'll probably have to do some work to it. You can't have a kid and avoid taking it to the doctor for 20+ years... the kid would die... same thing with a car. I've had several Starions over the years. Blowing dark blue smoke is a sign of bad valve stem seals.... lol. Easy fix unless you're a moron.
I know what causes blue smoking, but it seems the better part of all the existing early Mitsubishis have been smoking since I can remember noticing in the early 90s. Not made to last.

man that music makes me want to throw up, fuk what a shit commercial ...haha did u see that tredia driving through the beach sand...so fukn gay, hahaha
Its just as well the Montero name was used on their 4wd - The original name, "Pajero" (which is still being used), has "interesting" connotations as a spanish word...
i just realized how better the cars of the 80's looked back than. Now when you look at them, they look like like shit.

We had a 1985 Galant for seven years, with a 2.0 litre engine and 3-speed auto with overdrive. The first car I ever drove, and SO comfortable!

The only Mitsubishi's left on the road from the 80's are 1987 to 89 Starions or mighty max's. That 2.6L can run.

I love the 80's - The jingles are brilliant and hilarious the same time! ;-)

You can fix anything. Its just not good when a certain bunch of cars have shot rings 5-10 years before most every other car.

I probably couldn't find an 80's Mitsubishi anymore if I tried.

I'd love a Starion though.

Don't tell my cars that.... They are under the impression that as long as I have the desire to drive and, therefore, repair them, they will last.
Go buy a Kia. Throw it away when you're done.
