I believe La Sallites have enough good qualities and can raise themselves up (even as a joke) without putting anyone down. (Ateneans do this,too). Viewers who can see beyond the funny lyrics will realize that its implications do not compliment La Sallites.

The video was really funny. My 10 year old son and I laughed through the video. Afterwards, he said, "Doesn't that video insult La Sallites?" That point wasn't missed by a Gr.5 Ateneo student.

No one claims that ALL Ateneans are "men for others" who follow the "Ateneo way". We try. We fail. We're only human. That doesn't make us hypocrites when we sing "Mary for You". That is why the song includes a prayer imploring Mother Mary to help us to be faithful to her. No Christian sinner would have a right to sing the Lord's Prayer.
