On the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill she spoke volumes on so many issues & her words conveyed that of a strong woman, but people especially women have a tendency to let even the most slickest man kill their spirit...and I think she allowed a man to do just that to her....

@TheErick01 - Actually u are mistaken, Lauren Hill preached about how men should love & respect their women, & when she got involved with that Marley dude whom she had children with, he was cheating on her & took her into this place that wasn't her spirit and killed that. Her ex-band mates tried to bring her out of it, but she refused to leave that dark place in her life. Now whether he had her hooked on drugs or just emotionally messed up, her spirit was killed, that's why she hasn't been back.

@broke2471 Listen to her latest interviews. She hasn't been back for completely different reasons. Now by saying her spirit was killed, what exactly do you mean? And when? Because all of the unreleased music I've heard still speaks a positive message, and also addresses the issues as to why she hasn't been back yet.

But in a recent interview, she said she's excited to come back now that her children are at an old enough age to not need her around all the time.

@TheErick01 - She may have said she hasn't been back for many different reasons, but the main reason is her dealings with her babies daddy & his womanizing. Women who get involved with men, they love hard & a lot of men can't reciprocate that deep emotional love that a woman has when in love. Therefore, she didn't anticipate him cheating on her or hurting her and that's what took her over the edge, Wyclef and Pras both tried to reach out to her, but said she was "gone"..

@levychandra - Whatever her relationship with God came in parts and she wasn't always that inclined as none of us are to use him as a tool and source in our lives until things bad happen to us that guide us to him. Her children, her marriage, her career all came in phases, as her desires and needs changed, so did she. It's easy for us all to throw Gods name around & act as if we are this and that, but when it all boils down to it, God test all of our faith.

What you stated may be true in combination but as I stated her spirit was killed by her baby daddy because it became the focal point of her world outside her music. She chose to leave the music to get that part of her life back in order thinking that she could change him as a man.
