    Thanks.

  • Very cool. I work at this time with the Maya 2012 Trial. And i ask me, is Inventory for smal objects or what is the target client. Or can inventory do more than maya or less? Can you render your products with inventory same as like Maya or with Showcase, so that it looks real in the end? Hope its okay to ask this questions here, because i love your works :-)

  • @Banchuba

It is a basically a Mechanical Engineering design software. The designs are Parametric and feature based. But you can design any thing you want as we did, see our tutorials. Here you can also render product too, like in Maya. It's rendering capabilities are very good. See Autodesk Inventor related videos available on You Tube for example.

  • @NISHEETHSORJM thanks for your answer. Maybe one question if its okay. I like to work with maya but i like also do rebuild real thinks like my Keyboard. Is it possible to import Inventor Objects into Maya and in other direction and still work on it. Maybe i want to make a robot in Inventor, but i want to make datails in Mudbox, and animation in Maya. Is that possible? Hope my english is good enought, sry :-) Thanks for your time :-)

  • @Banchuba

I am understanding what you want to know. You are talking about three software, I have only used Autodesk Inventor, so I can not answer your question. But I suggest you to ask your question on the Autodesk Inventor official forum. From there you will get the right answer. The link of the forum is :-- forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/bd-p/78

First you have to join the forum(which is free) to ask question.

  • @niveshandnisheeth,

would you mind sharing your default option file and telling us how exactly you created "my preference" files? I understand if you don't share.

  • @wictoragazade

'my preference file' is a template file that you can create easily. I have uploaded a video named 'Creating and using a template file in Autodesk Inventor 2012' on my channel. After watching the video you can understand the process.

  • @NISHEETHSORJM thank your for the information.

  • How do you get the center lines to adjust the constraints to for the rectangles? When I tried to do as the video said until I got to that part I got lost. Thanks

  • @goodguy1405

These center lines were made through project geometry tool. They are project of YZ Plane and XY Plane of part. We are not showing it again and again because it takes time. We put these projected lines in our template file. So every times it appears in the file automatically. You can see our video named Shaving Razor (Video Tutorial) Autodesk Inventor 2010 there we showed the full projection process from work plane.

  • @niveshandnisheeth Thank you. I now know how to do it. I have a problem though lol. I did as I saw up until the constraint being done with the YZ and XY plane. I have the base of the mouse but it is off center of these planes. I am trying to move them to where they will be center but no accomplishment. Any assistance? Thanks in advance.

  • @goodguy1405

If you want to move any part, you can do this with the help of move body tool. So you can adjust the center of the base plane.

  • finny a complete tutorial for inventor 2012

I don't know how to design at all in the beginning

    Thanks for sharing!

  • @VisualBasicNET

You are welcome. From now afterward you will find the videos with the help of Autodesk Inventor 2012. Do not forget to download the finished file, the download link is in video details. There are many more videos (120 videos up till now) on our channel, you can watch them too. Full part creation is displayed in the most of the videos.

  • We used Split tool of Autodesk Inventor in this tutorial a lot. So any one wanted to know about the use of this specific tool, this is a good example.
