'cause I'm changin' my drumset and I have lots of probls, cause the new drum PRO kit volume is much higher that the last and I cannot get an accurate sound into the ear monitors of everything using the same mics, according fine each drum etc etc.. so I was wandering how you can get those fine volumes until the recording phase...It's quite complex I think!

Wow, man. This is brilliant material. It goes from dark to light and back so seamlessly. Drums are fantastic...just enough going on to be interesting without losing the flow of the song. And the tool inspirations are clear, but not overbearing. I love it!

Good question! I never really counted it out before LOL. The intro guitar riff is 6/8 for sure. After the 4 hat count into the half-time drum beat you can tap the pulse to 7/8 or really 21/8 i guess when the riff starts over. The fast part after that is 18/8. The main verse with the open/close hihat stuff is 7/8. the chorus with the open hat is 8/8 when I start the ride its 8/8-6/8. The break down is 4/4 and the trick ride part after that is 8/8.When the clean guitar starts is 8/8 mostly.

Just my thought.....funny thing is, I really don't like DT, but I friggin love Tool.

I can't hear the "soul" in DT, but Tool has nothing but "soul" to me.

I have to add that I really admire your skills mate, I just don't like this style of music much myself.

DT and Tool are very opposite. DT musicians are mostly tied all up on the same rhythm, where as Tool musicians often mix different rhythms with amazing results.

Still love your playing, you are the inet hero of drumming :p
