@MagicYouCanBelieveIn - Microsoft make the Windows operating system. LG are the company that made the hardware (this laptop) and put an operating system on it that they purchased from Microsoft.

To answer as to why LG copied the Macbook Air design, it's probably because at some point any basic form (the laptop in this case) has to culminate into its best possible design. Apple hardware is currently the culmination of laptop design in the opinion of LG, i assume. Is that a bad thing ?

macbook air was designed some time ago and has a Core2Duo. So it's not a "in-your-face", it's a "two-years-later-we-have-somet­hing-with-worse-cpu-and-worse-­gpu-but-hey-it-is-slightly-thi­nner-and-we-are-proud-to-be-be­tter-in-a-single-spec.

Not to mention, if there is should be an apple-tablet, it might be even thinner than the LG, and it won't be released 2 years later.
