  • are you tryn to kill it?

  • @tyson1ize that's how you use a floyd rose!

  • Would it fit a kh202

  • SSSLLAAAYYYEERR!!! Don't be suprised if Kerry King uses some of the wankery in this video.

  • would this fit in a ltd mh-100?

  • sick tone dude

  • So are you in C standard or Drop C?

  • @nonmusicman i think it could do with staying in tune better. i can't really tell.

  • Whats the difference between the special and the original Floyd Rose...??

  • @nonmusicman A Floyd special is built with zinc alloy saddles instead of steel and zinc alloy sustain blocks instead of brass. The sustain could be a little less than the original, but I can't tell a major difference.

  • i have one guitar in e and one in Eb. one is drop c.

  • i whant to buy a floyd rose...but don`t have enough money for original FL....so it`s good decision to buy an floyd rose special?

  • @2IronBird yep! great alternative.

  • @cabritoancestrais tnx very much man! i think if later replace zink saddles with steel, floyd rose special will become as original floyd))))

  • Did u do anything special to get it to stay in tune

  • @Lucas9t5 nope. Just set it up, strung it up, intonated it and got it balanced flush with the body.

  • Anyone know what model of the FSR comes in Schecters these days?

  • what should i get, i heard that ibanez edge tremolos are better than floyd rose for tuning stability and not as many floyd rose parts are repairable as ibanez edge tremolos

  • @the47736 Lies. Im getting the LTD M-300FM rather than another ibanez because i hate the edge 3 trem. i have many problems keeping it in tune compared to a floyd. So you have it backwards.

  • Great thrash tone, bro. Nice demo as well.

  • does anybody tune to e or e flat it seems im the only on that keeping the 80 stuff alive

  • @dchristian93 You're not alone mate. I've 2 guitars setup for e and e-flat.

  • @cabritoancestrais Would you say that these are better than the infamous "licensed tremolos" ?

  • @dchristian93 i keep the 80s alive too, best decade for guitar ever. i tune to e flat and e

  • @dchristian93 my two gutars are in E and E flat man

  • @the47736 awsome that good to know \m/

  • @dchristian93 all four are in either E or D :)

  • @dchristian93 , I have ALWAYS tuned to Eb and still do.

  • @dchristian93 i play in d standard mostly and drop c but i play in e and eb sometimes

  • Mine is good except sometimes if i go back far the saddle slips forward and completely detunes it. Any help?

  • i have an esp ltd m-100fm but it doesnt do divebombs ): its a special floyd rose too

  • @iSprayMiiLk Ok...these may seem like dumb questions but, have you got a tremolo arm? Is your trem blocked/locked with some device in the rear cavity?

  • @cabritoancestrais Yeah I Do but when i pull up the low E String starts ringing and it makes me mad and im wondering do you need to do a harmonic to do a divebomb?

  • @iSprayMiiLk It all depends on your intentions mate. If you want to use the whammy bar with a harmonic you can. Have a look for some dimebag lessons on this, as they are very descriptive of what are the 'best' harmonics to use for sqeuals, divebombs, pull ups etc.

A divebomb can also simply be just a dropping of the pitch of a note on any string e.g. pick a single low e and drop it down.

  • @iSprayMiiLk Dude, a dive bomb IS a natural harmonic with the bar. If you don't know what that is or don't know how to create one, you shouldn't even have a tremolo system

  • @M3talCovers u know you need a tremolo system in the first place to LEARN how to do divebombs .

  • @TheFashel12 No you don't. I got my first Floyd about a month ago but I knew what you needed and how to do a divebomb just by looking up random guitar vids.

  • guitar rig! <3

  • Hmm...My Floyd Rose Special was working fine, but then I pulled up in a harmonic and the g string goes out of tune, like a half step/whole step down. It was working fine literally a minute before. So I tune it and test it again. If I do a dive bomb, its fine. If I pull up, only the g string goes out of tune, every other string stays in tune.

    Help please?

  • @boxtrap21 Hey dude, sorry for the late reply. A common cause of this is when users overtighten the allenscrew at either the locking nut or on the floyd itself. Check that your screws at both ends of the G string are still tight. It's possible that you may have de-threaded them which means you'll have to replace them. Other than that I'd need to see your guitar mate. Let me know how you go.

  • @cabritoancestrais The string popped out of the bridge, replaced it, works fine now. I've been going crazy on my Floyd for about a week and haven't tuned it at all once, not even with the fine tuners. Floyd Rose Special is a great device :)

  • enuff with the phaser, and chorus.

  • @InFuriatedShadows There's no phaser, just flange & delay for all of 40 seconds.

  • @JG13557 I hear ya man. I'm not that good with floyds. Hell, I don't even own a floyd rose guitar anymore.

  • Nice video. I'm getting an ESP LTD m300 and it has a Floyd Rose Special. Glad to see it works well.

  • Heya, just watched your video and it seems to me the floyd rose special is quite stable with detuning etc, since you're totally raping your strings haha.

But i've got a dilemma, got 2 schecters which i can choose from, one is around 1000 dollars, other one is 830 dollars, and one of the main difference is the floyd rose, 1000 ofc being the original one and 830 the special one, you recon it's worth getting the one of 1000 dollars just for the original floyd rose?

  • @Dav2006pew There's a few things to consider. A lot of guitar companies now have 'Original Floyds' on their guitars which aren't actually German made. They're a variant of the original floyd rose that is either made in Korea and China, not Germany. For the price difference of the 2 guitars I would simply go for the one with the special and see how it pans out. If you're dissatisfied you can always spend the $170 difference on upgrading later, provided that's the only difference on the guitar.

  • those divebombs are mde with any harmonics?

  • @blackstormer95 yes, when you dive it and the strings are flapping just pretty much lightly tap anywhere and let it go back up. thats how you dimesqueal

  • the floyd special sucks ass i had one, and i installed a floyd rose original trem. thats the shit

  • @BUFFW Well i'm not going to dispute that the OFR is better because it certainly is, however I think your comment contradicts what I've demonstrated in the video. The FRS held up to a pretty good thrashing I would say and close to half the price. It's definately one of the best licenced floyds for the budget minded.

  • @cabritoancestrais when mine was new...... it was fine. i loved it. but... after about a month, everything started fucking up. i'm warning you. and also I.M.O, the best liscened trem. is the ibanez edge trem. to me, the special is the worst i've every used.

  • Should I get this guitar or just save up for something else?

  • you talked for 3 minutes and then played nothing...wtf?!

  • @abelfierroIII You've obviously either missed the part where I test the trem or you didn't watch the whole video. Notice how the video is over 7 mins long.

  • Hi, I need to know one thing before I buy one of these, does it lock? That may be a stupid question but I can't seem to find an answer on the internet...

  • @ipwnuall2 Unfortunately not. I would recommend getting a trem stopper from floydupgrades

  • @cabritoancestrais but i'm confused, how the hell did it stay in tune through all of that? I heard that Floyd Rose's that didn't lock went WAYYY outa tune if you even touch the whammy bar. :/

  • @ipwnuall2 It is a double locking tremolo i.e. it locks at the nut and at the bridge. I thought you meant as in being able to 'lock' the bridge into a fixed position. It is definately a double locking tremolo

  • @cabritoancestrais ahhhh ok, thanks! Now I'm deffinatley getting a guitar with this bridge, I think I'm gonna get the LTD F-50 from musicians friend, it has the special bridge.

  • Comment removed

  • @ipwnuall2 The FR special block the strings for sure at the nut so you can use it without retuning your strings ! but the bridge is a floating mode it's made of that !!! ... if you want to block the floyd go "Tremol-no products".

  • @ProBuNdi I JUST ordered a guitar with the special bridge and it should be here by friday next week... :)

  • @ipwnuall2 could you tell me more about that ??? thx ! i'll check your channel

  • can u tell me your rythm setup thingy i have guitar rig 3 and that sounds awesome so if you could tell me that would be great

  • @Metallikmonzta I used a dual amp setup with the 2 main high gain heads (1 per channel). I then used a parametric eq to modify each of the amps' tones. I might make a vid a bit later. Keep in mind I am running it through flat response studio monitors.

  • @cabritoancestrais K thnx man I was messing around with guitar rig alot and couldnt get the geavy effect i wanted thanks for the help

  • wow, I'm deffinatly buying a guitar with the special bridge now! after you put it through all those squealls and shit, just, wow....

  • beautiful guitar...but not so much for the feet. dude just take a shower....clean yo feet!

  • @linkinman48 what the hell are you talking about?

  • @cabritoancestrais don't ask me...i think i was talking about how dirty your feet are when you point the camera down at the pedalboard. i shouldn't be up before noon...it end with crap comments like those. sorry.

  • I was looking into buying the Schecter Damien Elite FR, which has everything I want in a Metal guitar and it's under $600 (24 frets, EMG 81/85, and a Floyd Rose). I was kinda skeptical because when the word "special" is used, it usually means it's a crappy version. But after seeing your video, I decided to buy it. Thanks for making the vid.

  • @danecook321 happy to be of assistance!

  • wahts the diference between a original FR to the specialFR?

  • @pokemon777master the difference is where it is made

  • @pokemon777master

OFR is alot more expensive and is only put in really expensive guitars, it is known to be the best.

Special Floyd is a cheaper floyd made to put in budget guitars. This video demonstrates that it can keep tuning stability close or just as good as OFR

  • Hey how is that Floyd rose working out for has it exceeded your expectations does it stay in tune?

  • keeps in tune like the original

  • umm ok i kno its the Special but is it and Original Series or Licensed?

  • Check the earlier comments guys.

  • is the floyd rose special a dive only tremolo?

  • @stojanovicm16 No you can go up or down,no problems with mine...Have beat the shit out of it,and it always comes right back..

  • so, the Special bridge is good or ill need to buy an Original floyd rose???

  • double locking right?

  • i have this on my kh-202 its great,im getting a gold one next week

  • You said you were tuned to Drop C right?..I am geting a guitar with a Floyd Rose on it and I am going to have it in Standerd D what kind of strings should I use?

  • I was looking at a LTD M-300 FM

It has a special floyd rose

So What exactly is new on the special?

what makes it different from the original?

  • the special is a licensed floyd, right? so who makes it?

  • @artillery666 the special is the cheaper version of the floyd. its not liscenced because its made by floyd

  • @artillery666 america

  • I got a question. Is this Floyd the same Floyd that comes stock on the LTD MH-250?

  • Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi, nice guitar and nice playing :)

  • What is the biggest string gauge you can put on it

  • I think some where between a 60-70

  • Comment removed

  • so there is no real difference like it will keep in tune perfectly?

  • There are differences, make no mistake. The block on the special is an alloy and made in china (i believe) versus the original which is all steeland german made. I haven´t had any tuning problems with the special though. If you have a very particular ear you will notice tonal differences between the two.

  • @cabritoancestrais do u think i cud change my special with a OFR and hv no problems

  • floyd rose are epic

  • hey dude im buying a esp ltd m401 in may same thing as what u have just a black finish and black nickel harware but after seeing ur beutiful guitar i cant decide where did u get ebay, music store , anything to help mate

  • I'm sorry to say that it was discontined a long time ago, I think it was only available in 2003. Just get the m401, you'll be very satisfied! Cheers

  • thanks dude its going 2 rake a while 2 save up the money anyway thank appreciate it

  • the m 401 is also discontinued 2010 xD

  • srly

  • no more ltd m 401, discontinued 2010 guitar

  • perfect squealings dude...hopefully tomorrow i will buy an LTD EC 401FR wich has the same special floyd rose...nice review and thanks a lot

  • hahaha...cheers man. I'm getting there with the harmonics, still a bit messy though.Hope the EC works out for ya!

  • thanks. btw nice playing

  • dude i have one of these on my esp. are they good? i mean is the quality good

  • I'm a bit confused by your question. You say you have one already but you don't know their quality? From my experience so far they are definately the best licenced floyds on the market. I guess only long term use will tell how well things hold up such as the locking nut, saddles etc.
