@tmac4213 Actaully in terms of treatment. the Arabic Slave trade was more brutal than even the Trans Atlantic slave trade mostly from poor sanitation and disease. Africans were pagans to the Arab Muslims and were not considered "people of the book" so were more harshly. The African slaves held by Europeans were given better sanitation and cleaning in the slave ships because it was economically irresponsble to send Africans to their destination just to have them die along the way.

@tmac4213 Actaully in terms of treatment. the Arabic Slave trade was more brutal than even the Trans Atlantic slave trade mostly from poor sanitation and disease. Africans were pagans to the Arab Muslims and were not considered "people of the book" so were more harshly. The African slaves held by Europeans were given better sanitation and cleaning in the slave ships because it was economically irresponsble to send Africans to their destination just to have them die along the way.
