Nice to see great bands from my generation at last. All the talk about discovering music through filesharing and playing Silent Hill in high school reminds me of my own teenage years.

And yeah, the overdub is annoying as hell. Especially since german is my native language. I want to hear them speak, not some half assed translation.

I don't understand German, but did he say that Modest Mouse is grunge? I mean, Isaac Brock has one hell of a yell and he plays guitar like no other but i wouldn't really consider their music grunge. 1996 MM is pretty grunge like but after the Lonesome Crowded West their music was more like indie rock then in 2000's they evolved into an alternative band

Here's my point: if someone had taped this on Polish TV with Polish overdubs ... well that would tough luck for me because I don't speak much Polish. But would I come here demanding that the Polish people omit the overdubs and use only subtitles? No I wouldn't because that would be arrogant to say the least.

He said that you dub English shows in Germany because you speak German. My statement was simply that Norwegians speak Norwegian, but that we use subtitles rather than dubbing other spoken languages on TV.

So if you should visit Norway only speaking English, you would still be able to understand an interview with Fleet Foxes on TV.

But of course we don't put English subtitles on spoken Norwegian, so you wouldn't understand Norwegian news.

nono don't get me wrong, I just can't understand that ppl make an interview and talk through it, while they can just subtitle it.I know many shows that do this..
