I play bass clarinet, I wish I could get a hold of one, the school one is out of limits now that I'm graduated. It sounds good mate, but the lower octave makes it more awesome, and the growl effect on bass clarinet has more growl

It's called "play a solo on the right instrument!" That solo is on bass clarinet, not clarinet!!!

when i learnt it thought it went down to the bottom F on the Bb... but i like your interpretation :).

can you do the flutter tonguging too? (however you spell it!) it took me ages to learn, but its a cool effect. id love to play this WITH MUSE at one of their concerts... but thats never going to happen lol

Yeah, I don't like the stress the clarinet puts on my thumb. I've used the neckstrap for about 5 years and wouldn't trade it.

I go soooo flat when I flutter tongue. I'd have to play stuff a half step up, but the sound quality would be terrible.

I haven't spent a whole lot of time perfecting my clarinet flutter tonguing because it's not often featured and when it is it's usually doubled by some trumpets (who are much better at it.)
