The Z serve is one of the most affective if done right. When done properly it puts your opponent in a tough position. They either have to make the best attempt to to get it low to the front wall or do a ceiling (done in most cases). If they opponent doesn't execute the return well, you will be set up pretty for a nice pass/pinch shot. It is about one of the most important serves anyone can learn, and should practice it. This video just proves the how affective this serve can be.

Ref needs to call a foot fault on Rocky for going over the front service line on his serves.

Actually, you're allowed to step on the front service line. You aren't allowed to step completely over it. Rocky was well within the rules here.
