Captkav - Yes, you want to get a pair of Yates adjustable daisies to go with your wall ladders. They do offer the 2:1 mechanical advantage, less the friction through the buckle. Offset nuts and cams are both the bomb on the pinscars on El Cap. I really like the Metolius offset Master cams, but there are new Alien clones coming soon too. What you really want to get for nailing routes are the big #2 and #3 BD peckers - replace 80% of LA placements and 95% of KB placements - superb pins.

To answer a few questions - 1/4" Rope Ratchet is now obsolete, replaced by Yates adjustable daisies. I used mostly 2:1 hauling and took around 44 litres of water for the 12 days or so. I can't remember how long I was up there, but my total count now is 442 nights on the side of El Cap [not counting base and summit bivis] on 42 different routes.
