this would go very nice with my Yamaha S70xs

  • Great playing man !!

    from an old pro.

  • Jimmy amazing playing as always. I see you use a computer setup to start the sequence , did u use the V synth for all your sounds in this video ? Cuase the v synth is not mulit timbral you record audio instead of midi ?

    Greetings,Patrick

    me gusta mucho!

    congrats

  • Wow! Your african choir sounds real. I'm about to get one of these soon, can you tell me how you got that sound? Maybe it's just a preset, but it sounds amazing.

  • wow i'd pay you to learn how to use all this shit )

i can play and improvise, but know fuck all about these synths, drum machines and samplers..

  • hey kersic im thinking of getting this synth for trance music what do you think about it ?

  • yea dude, kersic, give us some advice on that - trance and all sorts of house, techno stuff - which synth is the best to use??

i heard smth about - clavia nord g2x..

  • Hmmmm... for me :))) the best synths are, V-Synths GT or V-Synth XT( low Price then GT). But if you whant much lower price then you have tu get SH-201:))

    J.

  • The SH is good, but has got only 28 sounds or something like that, so imo, not worth it, especially if you've got somethin like a juno-g just 300-400 euros up, which has a 1000, and 20 track recording

  • are you israeli

  • fuck no hes german

If you look carefully at 2:06 you can see that his home/studio is intact and not being blown apart by hamas missiles

  • if you really want to know... I am from Bosnia!!

But, i dont know, way should that be so important. anyway...

It's only Rock & Roll, but I like it!

    Peace

    J.

  • wow self-owned i was totaly wrong

whatever its not important at all... dosent change the music!

  • good demo

  • was that a steve vai sample at the end?? fantsatic playing btw. i really like the whole african tribey bit.

  • whoaaa... Idk what's more impressive, the V-Synth or the player.

  • hello frien im again sorry for my ingles is terrible do you understand español? ha, y have a question for you, y will buy a fantom x7 or a juno g but y want the fantom!! good the question is this soun what you playing here can play too in fantom x7? ok very very look, y want to be of you some day hahaha.

  • jajaj nonono y want play the keyboards how you some day, no of you sorry sorry my ingles is terrible sorry

  • I LOVE you! you are great! Wonderfoul! Please more!!! Everything!

P.S. Luca is your son? fantastic!

  • just wondering on whether or not

to go the arranger route, or the

    sampler (triton, or v-synth) route.

with the arranger board, you have

all the parts at the touch of a button.

but with programming, you can set up

    combinations/maps/or zones to function

the same way. what do you all say?

  • i meant that the arrangers

    have parts available at the

touch of a button, and that the

    samplers like v-synth require

elbow grease on the part of the

    programmer.

  • Awesome and impressive music. When I saw the first seconds and you acting silly I thought it was going to be really cheezy, but it wasn't, at all. You did a great job. Keep it up.

  • Wow

    what a great video

  • You should find a drummer and guitarist and make a band dude. Don't go solo, that never works.

  • Does the G8 have v- Synth capability?

  • Of course not!!!!

pleas go to Roland web site, you will find the different there:))))

  • You need to do a 20 minute set and just play loads!!

    this stuff is amazing

  • Thank you for the kind words:)))))))))

  • Wow, awesome video man. Amazing work!

    And cool effects at 1:18!

  • Fantom-G has 16 part with a huge MIDI and Audio sequencer, V-synth GT has none of these. You want a Fantom-G if you want to play piano, make some pop music, etc...you want a V-synth GT for totally weird or new stuff like this bloke is playing.

  • wat I lyk from the V-Synth GT is the Vocal effect part and how you can slice up each part of a beat although I can do It on FL-Studio slicer...I lurve techno sounds and acoustic sounds, ya knw those airy abstract sounds. I also want to import some audio patterns I made from my pc..what's better to recommend? Fantom G or V-Synth?

  • umm Sentroline Voyage by Flashbulb much?

  • does Fantom G have all the features in this type of V-Synth???

  • ofcourse not...fantom g is a rompler with some basic synthesis (envelopes, effects, filters - not as good as the emulation filter on the vsynth). there is no AP synthesis, VA synthesis, Vocal/harmony synthesis or Sample manipulation on the Fantom-G (V-synth GT has all this).

  • Very good.

    Congratulations.

  • Amazing! Great work!

  • @ 0:46, you look like a snake (with snake charmer music) lol!

  • lmao!! Good one!

  • the stuff played @ 3:00 was awesome!

  • Tight!!

  • Awesome, man. You rock!

  • Freakin awesome man. Very few people have the imagination to envision world melodies and such but this does a great job it. Drop an album and i'll buy it the next day^^

  • This shit is amazing high.

    Very awesome.

  • i know right!! that last bit sounded like Dream Theater which is practically an automatic sell for me! MAKE AN ALBUM NAO!!

  • so thats why my brother wanted this very much.

  • I'm thinking on getting this synth and I just keep finding video after video of a synth that does A LOT of things but does not do one thing to perfection. For example, the great sound of the JP 8080.

    P.S. Good job!

  • thanx guy's

  • Nice

  • trully ! amazing!!!!

  • Bravo man super

  • this is both stylistically horrible & technically cool. not a fan of the music, but the guys got chops, & loved the section where he uses the vocal eliment of the synth.

wouldnt buy a record, but he bends the v-synth well (& the V can be a bit stuburn sometimes, so kudos good sir)

  • grande

  • great video and music

  • this has got to be one of my favorite videos youtube!

  • This should be in the top 100 all time best youtube videos.

    It's crazy.

  • pazzesco, è merito della tastiera..ma è specialmente merito tuo..

  • Buenisimo

  • Great job !!!!!!!!!

  • THIS WAS PERFECT!

  • Ta se na bestia!!!!

    Bravò..............

  • Some of the best playing I have seen on You Tube. Cool sound.

    Thanks for the vid

  • that's how to do it man: clap your hands and

jam!! Ha! (great to hear some ethnic sounds

    coming from it too)

  • awesome

  • The mbube style vocals are takin straight from the Specrasonics Heart of Africa library.

Whatever he might be using the mic for in this part it definetly isnt the african vocals that are being heard.

  • Awesome. You master so many different styles, it's amazing !

  • Fantastic Jimmy! a great gt demo!

  • Very cool!

  • sensationel performance.. its great.

  • Hey, simply the best motivation video to spend more time with hardware instead setting notes with the mouse inside a step grid sequnezer :-)

  • nice

  • very good arrangement. african vocals are great :) you know how to make mbube. :)

between, why don't you use a breath controller? it fits your technique. check out "berhan taksim" on youtube.

  • Jimmy, that was awesome!!! Ya gotta love the V-Synth GT!
