It's actually for PS2, I'm assuming his PS3 is the backwards compatible version, meaning he can play Ps2 games on his Ps3.

As for the voices, they're English in the Final Mix version, with everything else in Japanese. I don't think you have an option to switch languages though.

answering krillian20: I don't use any US Playstations. Only either European/British or Japanese or Asian Playstation.

To tell you the truth, I hate the use of X button as confirm in either US and EU version. I prefer the Japanese/Asian use of O button as confirm. Besides, Japanese dub is better (at least for me)

yes, triangle as back. I was struggling in Final Fantasy VIII (but after I got to the game, I changed the button assignment: triangle for menu, X for cancel, O for confirm). It is a shame that we can't do that in FFX (in FFX, I bought FFX International - which is essentially the same as FFX in Europe, but with choice of Japanese subtitle, and the use of O as confirm)

yes, this is only backward compatibility video. In early days, I got a lot of requests to make the video about PS2 compatibility, and since I only owned Japanese PS3, then the games is also Japanese. (I got my UK PS3 around 6 months after that)

actually it does come out officially in asian region with designation NTSC-J other than japan such as south-east asia, HK, korea etc (India is PAL). I saw it in Indonesia and Singapore.

it is exclusive to NTSC-J area because we have japanese only dubbing earlier, and the point of final mix is to let japanese/asians to enjoy english dubbing along with addition. (except once, Final Fantasy X International came out in EU region because its release date is after Japanese International version.

do you consider getting a japanese text lucky? Well, I am okay with reading japanese hiragana/katakana, but I am sure some of the others in Asia will have problem (just like I was). After you play it, the extras are not that significant. :)

if you want it, why don't you consider modding your PS2 to play import games, and importing the games? Or buy swapmagic.

well my cousion is in japan working for square enix and he said that there thinking about it but there not sure if it will sell well. the companys kinda low on cash he wouldnt tell me why. so ill keep you posted. oh yeah and they are working on a a sequal to kh2 that continues the story.

yeah, but the purpose they release this final mix/international version in ENGLISH so that the Japanese/Asian gamer can experience the english version (though I am almost always prefer the Japanese version over any other version - like English or french).

If I liked the game, I normally then buy the british version after Japanese version, but if I don't, then I just have the Japanese version. for KH, I own three version: Japanese, British PAL and American NTSC.

not while you're in UK - regulation is quite tight in UK. I am Indonesian by nationality. I can get to SE asian countries without visa, and get the japanese version off there. There, you'll have a choice of asian version or more expensive japanese. I chose Japanese.

But for non-SE asian, you might requires visa. There is one place where you can get Japanese PS3 without the needs of applying for visa for any nationality: Hong Kong. but you may have to go to the black market. In Indonesia, japanese version is widely available as alternative to asian version.

KHII and KHII: Final Mix+ have nothing different, except tht they have more places u can go to, and u can fight bosses from KHI in Final Mix+, u can continue fighting those XIII bosses as long as u want even if u beat them, also, Final Mix+ has the last boss located in The Cornerstone Room(Mickey's castle) named Terra...everybody should kno this by now, o well, this is fur those who don't kno this yet :)

a device to hack how the PS2 tray works. you'll need a disc that work properly with the PS2 and the disc that you are intending to play. Swapmagic controls when you have to swap the disc in order for the disc not to be recognised from other region
