to accomodate thumbs up in standing position is quite hard if your bass is strapped way down to the waist except if you have abnormally long arms. marcus miller and timmy c can play thumbs up coz the bass is way up to their necks. i think flea can also play thumbs up when in sitting position..just a thought..great playing by sir karel..
