Think about it, if more traditionalist were around in the early 60's do you think sergio mendes, sly and family stone, beatles, james brown, miles and other ground breaking acts would be allowed to surface. If these arts mentioned were traditionalist, they would all have been doing the typical pat boone or rock sound that was "happening" during that period.

This is great song. It's been severely way too long since I enjoyed a good Hip-Hop song. As a Brasilian-American I really enjoyed the Hip-Hop and Bossa Nova incorporation. I look forward to more Hip-Hop songs with the Bossa Nova smooth feel to it. As for the people on here who are Sergio Mendes aficinados, I understand that you feel that Mendes went way below his standards in doing a production with a hiphop artist, but didn't no one tell him too do it--he wasn't forced to 'jump off a bridge' to do this production. This is off his album Timeless (which by the way is absolutely fabulous) and I think this song gave him a lot of energy. Something new and something blue, full of FLAVOR.
