you know... you said that you used those crest white strips.. and you saw results in 3 days, but if you brush with baking soda you see results after one use, it doesn't hurt your teeth... really the only drawback is that it tastes weird, but you only have to use it for 2 minutes and it is bearable.... that is what i used as a solution for my teeth and I really saw results.. Plus: you said the strips are $40 and baking soda is WAAYY less I think a box is like.. a dollar.. :)

Crest (P&G) is tested on animals...a good alternative is Avon Wellness Beautifully Bright. AWBB is not a strip but a 2 piece system that is a rinse and a paint/brush on "white-out" style aplicator.
These are so much better than the Premium Plus ones I used prior. They really stay on your teeth & you don't get that gel all over your mouth. You can actually swallow your saliva without having to spit every couple of minutes. Highly recommended. Oh, the only thing is, if you don't have fingernails like myself (nervous habit), they're kind of tough to remove from your teeth. I used a golf tee believe it or not-it worked. I got mine on Ebay for $27-a total steal-14 pouches or 28 strips.
These don't retail in Australia but Crest do have an online agent here selling the classic & premium whitestrips. I'm buying the classic because the Advanced Seal aren't available. The classic cost almost $100 AU including P&H. Still heaps cheaper than a dentist doing it.

When you have braces, you're supposed to wait until you get them off! Otherwise, you'll get stains. With the part underneath the brackets will be either whiter or yellower than the rest of your teeth! Trust me, i got my braces off and now i'm whitening me teeth with the Crest Advanced Seal. Just be patient(:

They really do work I'm a smoker and I've always used the Crest Strips, which are slimy but I deal. I tried this and my teeth are even whiter now.

I use vivid white too & love it. I will have to try these strips also. Have you tried Rembrandts 2 hour whitening? I used them the other day, it only took 2 hours(breaks in between) and i had a very noticable change. They are trays you put in & are available for $20-23 depending where you buy them. yay, that worked! so an addition: over the counter tooth whiteners don't have the same strength as those used by dentists - this makes them safer on enamel, at least when used on healthy teeth as directed and not over-often. sensitivity is usually caused by the whitening solution coming in contact with gums and is temporary - if it starts to happen, spread out the use of the strips. my old smartypants dentist is who got me started using strips when they first came out many years ago now. :)

P&G is one of the more progressive companies when it comes to finding alternatives to animal testing, and their work with The Humane Society is part of that. A 2 second Google search of your own will bring you that information - use these terms, and it's the top hit: proctor and gamble research involving animals

emily, my husband is a dentist and most dentists won't tell u the truth but teeth whiteners remove a very very thin layer of your enamel and that's how u get whiter teeth. In the long run...as u get older and keep doing this u will end up with very thin teeth and eventually dentures. I wouldn't recommend people to do this if i was u, u might have to do it b/c u are infront of the camera and your career depends on it but don't recommend it to others.

flouride strengthens teeth....there are flouride mouth washes that u rinse with and spit out. You can watch out for your enamel by not drinking acidic things such as soda and sucking on lemons etc...
As far as whitening teeth there is no "safe" way to really do it...although from personal experience the flouride mouthwash has whitened my teeth. u just have to watch out not to get yellow teeth in the first place...soda drinking, coffee drinking, smoking etc.. Regularly floss and brush, most dont
I totally agree with you. I went to my dentist for info regarding teeth whitening. I was advised to not use any of the teeth whiteners available in the market. Scraping and bleaching your teeth every now and then is a NO-NO. In the end, you will probably end up with dentures. Emily, have you consulted your dentist before you use these whiteners?

What's the process after you take the strip off, like the remaining peroxide formula on the teeth..? Just wipe it away?
Also, it is ok if ya got cavity or two in there at the far back? I only want the front teeth whiter.

Crest (P&G) is tested on animals...a good alternative is Avon Wellness Beautifully Bright. AWBB is not a strip but a 2 piece system that is a rinse and a paint/brush on "white-out" style aplicator.

These are so much better than the Premium Plus ones I used prior. They really stay on your teeth & you don't get that gel all over your mouth. You can actually swallow your saliva without having to spit every couple of minutes. Highly recommended. Oh, the only thing is, if you don't have fingernails like myself (nervous habit), they're kind of tough to remove from your teeth. I used a golf tee believe it or not-it worked. I got mine on Ebay for $27-a total steal-14 pouches or 28 strips.

These don't retail in Australia but Crest do have an online agent here selling the classic & premium whitestrips. I'm buying the classic because the Advanced Seal aren't available. The classic cost almost $100 AU including P&H. Still heaps cheaper than a dentist doing it.

When you have braces, you're supposed to wait until you get them off! Otherwise, you'll get stains. With the part underneath the brackets will be either whiter or yellower than the rest of your teeth! Trust me, i got my braces off and now i'm whitening me teeth with the Crest Advanced Seal. Just be patient(:

I'd thought I'd share info. This coming Sunday the P&G (Proctor & Gamble) coupons will be in Sunday paper, so I'm sure there will be another one for this item. CVS usually also does the "Care-Card" Bonus Bucks with this item and BJ's Club carries this and you can use the coupons there.
They really do work I'm a smoker and I've always used the Crest Strips, which are slimy but I deal. I tried this and my teeth are even whiter now.

lovely smile emily. maybe u can deduct any products u use, as well as the dental care u get, as it is certainly job related. in any event, very detailed, credible analysis.
also, if u have dental insurance, why not skip the strips altogether and go with veneers (another deduction)? worth researching?

i might give these a try the original ones were soooo goopie and the feeling on my teeth was so awful i didnt like them at all.
crest also has a whitening mouth rinse that i use in the mornings when i am in a rush or if i have had a soda that day. not dramatic but also good for those with sensitive teeth since it isnt as strong. just a lil tip for you. :)

My dental hygenist says that the whitening products in the drugstore are fine. The strength of the chemicals are not too strong to hurt you teeth.

I use vivid white too & love it. I will have to try these strips also. Have you tried Rembrandts 2 hour whitening? I used them the other day, it only took 2 hours(breaks in between) and i had a very noticable change. They are trays you put in & are available for $20-23 depending where you buy them. I tried the original crest strips and did not enjoy the taste either. I also didn't see a differance, haha, so I stopped using them before the full 20 day treatment. haha that could be why I didn't see a differance. I will give these a try. Thank you it was very informative.

yay, that worked! so an addition: over the counter tooth whiteners don't have the same strength as those used by dentists - this makes them safer on enamel, at least when used on healthy teeth as directed and not over-often. sensitivity is usually caused by the whitening solution coming in contact with gums and is temporary - if it starts to happen, spread out the use of the strips. my old smartypants dentist is who got me started using strips when they first came out many years ago now. :)

Odds are that I supported animal rights (and, actually supported PETA before they went extreme) while you were still in diapers, so no thanks for assuming I am uninformed. P&G is one of the more progressive companies when it comes to finding alternatives to animal testing, and their work with The Humane Society is part of that. A 2 second Google search of your own will bring you that information - use these terms, and it's the top hit: proctor and gamble research involving animals

Those were horrible on my enamel, I used them once and my teeth were insanely sensitive for a week.. My friend was using those like once every few months and her dentist told her they were literally eating away her enamel.. be careful!!!

hey emily... i love ALL your video's... so also this one, but i just wanted to tell you that whitening is REALLY bad for your teeth! i'm verrrry serious... for example, toothpaste for whitening has something that has bad influence on your enamal... that will create dental cavity!! when people have ugly colour teeth, i would recemend it, but pls don't use it a lot when you have a nice color teeth :) BIG KISS xxxxx your vids are sooo nice :)

emily, my husband is a dentist and most dentists won't tell u the truth but teeth whiteners remove a very very thin layer of your enamel and that's how u get whiter teeth. In the long run...as u get older and keep doing this u will end up with very thin teeth and eventually dentures. I wouldn't recommend people to do this if i was u, u might have to do it b/c u are infront of the camera and your career depends on it but don't recommend it to others.

flouride strengthens teeth....there are flouride mouth washes that u rinse with and spit out. You can watch out for your enamel by not drinking acidic things such as soda and sucking on lemons etc...
As far as whitening teeth there is no "safe" way to really do it...although from personal experience the flouride mouthwash has whitened my teeth. u just have to watch out not to get yellow teeth in the first place...soda drinking, coffee drinking, smoking etc.. Regularly floss and brush, most dont

I totally agree with you. I went to my dentist for info regarding teeth whitening. I was advised to not use any of the teeth whiteners available in the market. Scraping and bleaching your teeth every now and then is a NO-NO. In the end, you will probably end up with dentures. Emily, have you consulted your dentist before you use these whiteners?
