  • I have problem with programing microcontroller on avrprog2, can you send me source code of program that i try comple it for my programmer. Thank you.

  • @wugy93 The hex code can be used with any programmer.

  • Nice project. But you may not wish to keep to many examples.

    I mean...if assuming you don't want a permanent orange afro. =D

  • Thank you very much,cyberelectronics

I will try to build it to study your video and description.

It is necessary for me to live nearby(more than 100km away from Fukushima) Fukushima nuclear power plant.

We have many hot spots far way from Fukushima.

  • Wish you showed how to make it, not just that you made one.

  • Are the SBM-20-1 GM tubes any better than the SBM-21 tubes?

  • @statesidestorm The SBM20-1 tube is more sensitive than the smaller SBM21.

  • Well done :)

My geiger counter is quite similar to yours. I used a ATMega32 on my evaluation board. Smaller version is in development.

Check my channel for further information.

    Best regards ;)

  • It's a beautiful projects. Where can we have the schematic and the source file?

  • @goldeneye7100 Thanks. Please read the updated description.

  • @cyberelectronics : hello. Very nice project:) I'm about to build my first GM counter, and I have a question: What is going on on the PB3 (OC1) of the MCU? Does it give constant pulse width (i guess yes, because there's no feedback)? What is the frequency ? I have no access to the particular transformer you mentioned so I'm planning to design different high voltage PSU with choke and charge pump, but still using wave generated on PB3. W'd be grateful for help. joozwa

  • Hi ! I have a compass like yours :D

    Nice geiger counter.

  • Hi. Will you sell me a pre-programmed microcontroller for this project?

  • @sparkie21 Hi.

Yes it is possible, but is more simple to you to build a programmer.

On my webpage you can find a very simple Atmel programmer for parallel port. If you have any problem just send me an email.

  • I wanna know how to make one toooo!!!

  • Very nice costruction and project i had made one geiger to with digital output but ur deisgn is cool :)I will try to make it^^Btw can u change between msv and mrad?

  • @teryssan Thank you.

The units of uSv/h can be converted directly to urem/h, just remove the decimal point :)

  • What IC is there right above ATtiny? In your schematic on your website I can't find it. Is it a programmer? Then why do you keep it as part of the counter? It did it's job already isn't it?. Nice job though, just need to find a case for it!

  • @krabs18 Just a MAX232 interface for PC connection (not implemented because not enough programming space on the ATtiny2313).

But there is another simple method to connect to PC, just search on google for: UGP geiger counter :)

  • Man can you link me specification of this tube SBM-20-1

    Please

    i need it bad

  • @Frugo551 PM sent

  • Stargate-864 Device Controller USB 2.0

    Learn, create, develop, make something

    usbinterface com br

  • Sajna nincs PIC égetőm de a videó tökéletes az áramkör pedig igényes és jól szuperál mint látni! Megy is a kedvencekhez (: !! !! !!

  • can u show how to make this?

  • Description available on my website (see my profile)

  • Very nice design ;) And a great vid!
