  • If you want it to work then reinstall Mac os x

  • You said new.

    In video: a week old.

=/ stop watching porn on you Mac!

    Get Linux!!!!

  • Bad luck!

  • Haha!

  • That macbook pro is a piece of trash

  • Ha ha.

  • Get Windows 7

  • @JCDizon16 This was in the days of Tiger... Since then apple has switched to intel, they have released 2 new OS's and are about to release another. Old Mac's suck. I've had my Mac for over 3 months. No Panics, nothing.

  • kernel panic

  • And apple worshipers say Macs don't crash? lol

  • @jpcwa74 No... apple worshippers say Macs dont get viruses. They do crash but it's an easy fix if you know what you're doing.

  • @ZanessaHeart778 actually they say both. Nevertheless, a virus can make a mac crash as well ... not just bad programing.

  • Why did he not return the laptop? You can return in laptop, Mac or not, within 30days for free.

  • @jpcwa74 Macs don't crash.

    They panic.

  • @JPdude612 Yup

Today I got a Panic from my mac

  • I want to know why you suddenly had a video camera ready.

  • @Harukoozt cuz that wasn't the first time it happened maybe? ...geez suck apples dick why don't you, do they reward you for defending them like that you homo fanboy!

  • lol, it just means the software needs downloading again... :) take it to your local mac store

    hope this helps

  • mine was worst, it lagged then blacked out on me with beeping sound. N, not even a week old.

  • Bring it back.

  • WTF?

  • Awaome u Brock it

  • Yeah, why are you laughing? You sound like a little girl.

  • i remember when i had a mac. i wish i didn't.

  • At least when a mac crashes you only have to restart unlike in Windows where you have to reinstall the OS

  • @Windows8fanman

You're a dumbass... I NEVER had to reinstall windows if I ever got a blue screen. Well actually I did have to once, because the hard drive itself failed, not the OS.

  • PC's don't crash at a week old... you should of gotten one

  • Sorry to break your bubble, but Windows sucks.

    Especially XP.

I have Windows Vista. Only fucked up on me ONCE, but with hardware replacement and reinstallation, I finally got it back.

my XP laptop failed three times. The latest being in 2009.

  • i have been using windows since 98 and never had to reinstall an operating system once.

  • i used vista for a year and a half before getting 7 and it was owsome

  • xp is old, but it owns also

  • sorry but your comment is subjetive and irrelevant.

  • screw you

  • Seems like kernal panic.

  • I think we are talking about 2 different things here. One is a sysytem crash which can normaly be sorted by re loading Mac OSX and What is know as the black screen of death or kernal panic is a bit more shittier!!!! I have a G4 which I have had from new and it's in mint condition inside and out. I took it to the Mac shop and it worked for some 4 months, now all I get is the grey screen with the apple logo and the timer spining for hours. I think a proceser prob or start up files. MACS RULE YEAH!

  • yah, Macs NEVER crash. looks to me that it did. and ive had a few Macs crash on me while i was just browsing the internet

  • my wife just bough new macbook (late 2009) and today i finally have my hands on mac computer

after a few hours, it just freezes, can't shutdown, can't do anything, so i have to force shut down by pressing power button, then turn it back on

well, i leave mac to a lady and stick with my xp sp2 :)

  • That is a lie.

  • so it didn't crashed on very first startup? may you downloaded some shitty apps

  • If The Dark Light Goes Down All The Way then thats What Happens

  • can someone please tell me how to fix this problem...my mac does tha same damn thing, ive brang it to tha apple store 4 times already and they never fix the problem!... please help!!!!

  • is not posible you have to change your mobo but mac mobos costs almost the same as the macbook

  • @hydrogrow don't buy crapple again

  • apple fanboys dont know shit about computer hardware so stfu

  • my mac book pro crashes more often than my windows 7 pc, expecially on youtube/ flash based apps.

  • Love your laugh!

  • wow, guess Im not buying one.. I'll stick with microsoft.. plus we have to admit.. it's a pc world.. even mac admits it... Bootcamp..

  • KERNEL PANIC!

  • Things don't always work. This is just another instance of hardware failure covered under warranty.

  • the hardrive is broken

  • how can it jst crash theve probly mde it crash how did they kno it was gonna crash

  • it probably happened before and they filmed it right after they reboot it

  • idiot much?

  • i have macbook pro 10.5.6 and i keep havin kernel panics too. i reinstalled my os 6 different times. didnt help. same ol shit. i also did a shit load of trouble shooting. updating, uninstalling, etc. nuthin is workin. macs are super good except for the kernel panics. i still like my macbook over my pc. any help for my kernel panics?

  • thats cus it ant a new macbook they dont sell silver ones with silver keys unless u bought a reconditioned second hand thing if thats the case dont be so tight

  • brand new? applecare!

  • Get a PC.

  • Hi. I have a G4 which is doing the same thing Just a window which is shaded and says you have to reboot. Should I. A) take a hammer to it. B) Throw it from the 3rd floor. C). Just ignor it and boot everytime. D). Re Install the OS. E) Get drunk?.

  • Re Install the OS. and Get drunk

  • That's what I did, am boy what a hangover, am now installing Leopard again but whith dark sunglasses!!!!!!

  • What do u think made it have a kernel panic dude ?

  • I had like a black transparent screen slowly come down from top to bottom with "You need to hold down the switch on botton to restart your computer" and on the report it said about Darwin Kernel error and a lod of info after that. This was just after I loaded Leopard on the G4 power Mac which had 10.2.8. I have now reloaded everything and set a hard disc as a Time machine recovery disc. Fingers crossed??!!

  • take the hammer to it anyways, then throw it from the third floor, then get drunk and take the hammer to it again, while your drunk! oh and once you sober up then go out and buy yourself a reall computer, i recomend a gateway or an ibm/lenovo!!!!

  • OK Great news. does is have 2.5 Ghz procesor. 512 M Card. Fire wire. can you edit videos as in final cut pro for studio quality. Can you edit photo to lab quality. can you Add software and take it straight off again without "A DLL file error was lost you can not uninstall". Can you just unplug it and then plug it in again with no probs. Well the list is longer but i don't have space....Bless. The G4 have it's place of pride in the great heavens for quality computers. I'm off for a drink. Bye!!

  • well, my $250 used gateway laptop, has a 1.5GHZ celeron processor 9its 4 years old) (but my $500 desktop has a 3.2ghz dual core....beat that with a mac..oh right you cant) i can run photoshop (best picture editor available), yes, my laptops xp....my desktop has the dll errors with vista though :/ , yes, only thing when i unplug it screen dims but i can turn brightness back up. good thing their ready for it in heavan, it'll probably be dieing pretty soon. its already had heart troubles. lol

  • hahaha, nice one!!

  • haha yea macs don't have awesome specs in theory/writing but a mac will use its specs better than a pc because people with a brain and commonsense made it

  • yeah cause mac uses magic like the one in this video, and a nvidia 9600gt can render faster then 295gtx pc just cause is mac ^^

  • $500 for a 3.2 ghz desktop? Please tell us which brand, graphics, RAM amount, because I have checked 6 PC retailer sites, and none of them(Dell, HP, Toshiba, Sony, Compaq,Fujitsu, Asus, and Acer) had a dual core 3.2 ghz CPU for $500!

  • @RockyTarciano make it yourself. i made my 3.2 ghz gaming rig for 400

  • bullshit XD at this point you can get i7 laptops with 1gb or more dedicated video for the same price, 8 months ago better laptops with 1gb dedicated video were available.

  • There is no hardware error. I had a similar problem with my macbook pro (2.6ghz, 4gb ram), and I just reinstalled the os. Time machiene did the rest... man, time machiene is the best!!

    take that microsoft!

  • wow! not even a week old, and to think i have your exact same model. that's a 2.4 ghz, right?

  • yeah...hows that? it doesnt crash... :D

  • There must be a serious error with the hardware, perhaps bad manufacture tactics.

  • "have you asked yourself why people started thinking it was only a myth?" - simple, the apple ads, and news groups always plant the phony notion. the mac boot screen should be turned off so they don't have to watch it crash. they are such close minded purists, they can then live happily ever after in their dream world. :-)

  • This is what happens when you get a Mac. Throw that crap away and get Windows 7!

  • Yeah, it's not a myth that Mac crashes, but have you asked yourself why people started thinking it was only a myth?

-You should be able to customize your Windows Error screen so you don't have to see the same thing every time you start it.

  • that happened to my white macbook while I was using it!! but after doing what it said it worked!!!

  • Damn it I had the exact error but I'm on an Aluminum Macbook, 2 fucking days old.

  • "an Aluminum Macbook", ROFL! hehehe

  • Can't explain it simpler/better.

  • I've had my MacBook Pro for about 9 months now, and it is the best damn computer I have owned. Quick startups, quick shutdowns. No b/s error messages. It even handles Windows on boot camp better than many Windows computers I've used.

  • Get a PC. Faster, cheaper, more versatile and as you see, the 'macs don't crash' is sort of a myth anyway.

  • Linux will never crash.

  • it never crashes because there are several users of it over the world unlike windows or mac.

  • this happened to mine after being powered on for its first 8 hours. i called apple and they gave me a new one, no hassle. also, i have had zero problems with the one i'm currently running.

  • If this happened a week after I bought mine, I'd run down to the Apple store with a fucking uzi and demand a new one until they gave in.

  • You wouldn't need to, they'd replace it no questions asked. I had my LCD die on me 1 year exactly after I bought it. Got a brand new one...didn't cost me a cent.

  • That happened to my dads customers mac,my dad is trying to fix it but he just cant find out whats wrong

    please reply how to fix!!!!

  • forgot to metion it was also banged up,marker everywhere, banged up cd rom opening, dents, and the screen is also dirty

  • The day I got my new iMac that happened to me.

  • Wow. Just look. How could a mess a computer up RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX? No people. This mac is crashing. Its gonna crash wether you like it or not. Bsod. KP. (Kernel Panic) BLSoD. (Black screen. Linux only.)... All OS crash.

  • it happen to e once but it happen only once

  • i'd be surprized if it was straight outa the box but that just show that you can really fuck up a computer you retard...

  • I get a Kernel Panic, too. Probably the OS I installed on my PC doesn't support SCSI Controllers.

  • yeah when you hold down the shift key when no operating system is on it. But nice try it's kinda sad you try to make macs look bad cause pc's SUCK

  • hahahahahahahahaahahahha you suck... you didnt happen to masterbate on the keyboard and cause i to do this did you?

  • this is a sad moment. i've had this too. i feel your pain.

  • Ha, that happened to me when I plugged an iPod into my iBook

  • i'm from australia.

i also BUY macBOOk Pro last week and i also have this same error once only and i don'tt care..

    MAC IS the BEST

  • MACS RULE.period.

  • shut up itard

  • Why were you laughing when your Mac kernal panicked? I would've shat myself... :p Just like when I got blue screen on my old PC (Both rock btw, they're just computers at the end of the day).

  • I wasn't laughing at my laptop getting a kernel panic. I was laughing at my friend's brand new laptop getting a kernel panic. :)

  • Lol. That is funny. I was told by a Mac Pro that the only way to fix that particular error is to reinstall the whole OS.

    Macintosh reinstalls-"they just work"

(it sounds better if you say ireinstall...good for ibranding)

  • That's ridiculous. you don't have to reinstall the whole os, just by getting a kp.

  • Seconding rijksenb. Im on an iBook G4 at the moment, and when I encountered this problem (caused by a loose chip on the motherboard I believe *too cheap to have it fixed and not energetic enough to do it herself*) I just booted into single user mode. Ran the command "/sbin/fsck -y", which checked the partition. Came back perfectly fine and just entered "logout". Have had only minor problems since then. I suggest this only if you are cheap and/or lazy. :P

  • OH i get it microsoft is brainwashing their pc users thats why pcs are for gaming!!!! :))

  • the only reason XBOX 360 fails is because it uses MAC prosesser.

  • the reason the 360 fails is because of bad soldering of the processor, which ironically is a PowerPC chip.

  • Apple never made processors IBM made the power PC chips for the macs and xbox 360, this is using an intel core processor, so don't act clever because you aren't you don't no what your talking about

  • Look at the poor pc user... he cant even spell....

These save these pc users.... just 5£ a month will buy them a macbook and save them from this horror ;)

  • Yes yes yes, I had a Sony Vaio PC previously and the hard disk went bust in the middle of lecture, every eletronic gadget can go wrong mate, no matter if it is mac or pc, even hospital computers go wrong sometimes....

  • yea that explains why they have built in cameras keep making new stuff and dont get viruses!

  • yeah i feel sorry for the pc user, when i type in the you tube comment box it underlines the wrong spelling and tells me how to correct it, too bad for reff335

  • yes macs are much better I have four of them, been using mac for 10 years amazing machines. I'm maybe a little too obssesed

  • haha yeh, ive only had a mac for the last 3 years so i came into the powerpc g5 to intel revolution and i love macs :D

  • so do u have a mac because thats what my macbook does

  • Isn't it funny how some people have nothing better to do then to argue about types of computers? ............Haha then some people have nothing better to do then read these entertaining comments.Mac.

  • this is not a big problem, it's just the battery that is fucked. send it back to apple, they will change it for free.

  • few reasons? u should ask bill gates himself why macs are better than Pc. ^^

  • HELL YA!

  • somebody give me a few reasons why macs are better than pc.

pc's are way better for gaming.

THE DAY THAT APPLE OFFERS SLI'D 8800 ULTRAS WITH LIQUID COOLING, THAN MAYBE I WILL ADMIT MACS ARE BETTER THAN PC'S

  • lol its funny because thats the only excuse u PC ppl have "pc's are way better for gaming" its sad because thats the only real excuse u all have, yea Macs crash but so do pc....LOL enjoy your virus and spyware problems and monthly updates. lol

  • Do you know why mac doesn't have viruses and spyware? Because there are so few mac users that the spyware and viruses creators don't even bother.

Here is a new slogan for Macintosh to use next in their commercials: "MAC, 'cause no one gives a shit".

  • Yea thats not bad but u still havnt made a point. if they don't give a shit thats good for us who do use mac. :)

  • good point

  • You copied that of ctrlaltdel mate. Anyway I agree, macs are shite and nobody could give a shit. Linux all the way!

  • thats why all the pc users are brainwashed stupid idiotic people who cuss in every sentence!!!

  • Call Apple, Kernel Panic is due to hardware problems...

  • mac books suck dick

  • how would you know that did you download a viruse or something!!! on ur lame pc

  • this happened to me yesterday, and today I got it fixed! It is just the ram memory that is not working properly. If you have the apple care protection plan they should replace it with one new!

  • one bad part makes all parts bad

  • That's so wierd that happned to me! But mine was when i was shuting down the computer so it just turned off.

  • that message indicates that an error occurred in the core of the operating system,A kernel panic A kernel panic can be caused by damaged or incompatible software hardware OR A system file or folder has been moved or damaged

restart,Then immediately press and hold the command-option-p-r until you hear the start-up sound a second time after that open system preferences, click startup disk, and select your osx volume

NEED HELP? email me at computerguy105 @ mac. com or IM me on AIM cumputerguy95

  • Callese

  • you should have taken it to apple because they have a 90 day hardware warranty and its 3 years if you got apple care they will either fix the problem or replace your macbook

  • 90 day hardware warranty? Mine options were 1 year (no AppleCare) and 3 years (with AppleCare)

  • well thats what i got, but every once in a while there will be a defective product nothing is perfect all the time so thats why there is a warranty

  • Exactly, very true: 90 days full tech support, 1 year hardware warranty without AppleCare for those who are wondering, 3 years full tech support and 3 years hardware with AppleCare plan.

  • cool thanx

  • thats normal for a macbook toss it and get a pc

  • Umm.... No, it's not, this kind of suff is more common on PC's (the real "word" you should use is X86's running Windows)

It's most likely a malfunctioning componet, not made by Apple, so apple will fix it for free.

  • ever hear of a thing called "focus"? guess not...

  • are you a dumbass. Put in your OS X dvd and restart. Hold the c key while booting to boot from dvd. once booted, go to top menu bar and open disk utility and repair the main volume. You must be a complete moron. Learn to use one befroe you fuck up another one.

  • hehe, mines just crashed right now, dam it!

  • It's just a defective MacBook Pro. You're not alone; when I got my mac the only thing that happened when i hit the power button was the sleep light came on. No screen, gong, or CD Drive. So I just took it back to the apple store and they made sure everything was there and they gave me a new one.

  • It's just a defective MacBook Pro. You're not alone; when I got my mac the only thing that happend when i hit the power button was the sleep light came on. No screen, gong, or CD Drive. • It probably did some sort of os update when u first hooked it up to the net, and it did sort of a logic board update that didn't install correctly. And as for all these people crappin on the mac, yes. U need windows to play many games because companies only make it for windows. but i use the mac for everything else, cause it's so quick. no load times!

  • wait, how do you know what the problem is? With the blue screen of death at least you have the error code and a quick search on the internet will usually point you to the problem. With a restart message in four languages, how do you know what's wrong? Earlier macs had error messages right?

  • Earlier incarnations of Mac OS X did show what happened when a panic occurs.

But, this was done away with on later versions. You would have to go and check the system logs to see the latest crash report to get this information.

  • You are absolutely right, but perhaps you didn't see the pictures. You do get backtrace and there is no symbol lookup table available so you have to do your best to figure out what the problem is. From the stack trace you also see:

Kernel loadable modules in backtrace com.apple.driver.AirPortAtheros5424

If that's the last module loaded chances are that's the problem.

  • Hooray! Thanks to Macs not having "cryptic error messages," you can never know what the problem is and just be stuck in a never-ending loop of "Please restart your computer to fix THANKS!"

  • Macs are GARBAGE. Don't be naive and blindly follow Macintosh just because Macs are represented by "the cool guy" in their commercials. Don't be a sheep. PCs will always be better, with more programs available. Worried about viruses? Macs have them too.

  • sorry but you don´t know what you´re speaking about, PCs are like toys compared to a Mac

  • how many viruses are made to affect mac is x? And don't give me that "no one wants to" b.s.

Do a youtube search for "mac os crash." This video pops up, and one other (which isn't even an os crash...it's the app that he's using that crashes. But the rest of the computer still works). That's it. My question to you is; How the hell do you do that to a macbook pro in less than a week?! Because that wouldn't just happen.

  • Actually, sometimes it can "just happen."

As good as Macs are, they aren't perfect. There will be defective examples that fall through quality assurance. It does happen.

Fortunately, for the poster of the video, he apparently was able to exchange it for a replacement.

What we saw was a rotten Apple which was replaced with a fresh one.

  • my macbook pro did the same, i changed the logic board and everything was fine

  • well who knows what you did with that thing ...

  • It's a problem of the logical circuit, the first real problem in 23 great years of Macintosh.

  • What logical circuit buddy? Don't create FUD where there is no need. If you want to bitch about something be concrete and not vague.

  • ey same thing is happening to my macbookpro ..you figure out what the problem was. I did upgrade the memory I'm guessing it may be that but I haven't taken it out to test it
