Ron Paul clearly and effectively summarized my entire twenty page paper in only a matter of minutes. I am profoundly surprised he is not a leading member of Congress with his mindset and proposed policies. Unfortunately, I am saddened by the fact that Congress is only but a playhouse for special interests groups looking to make huge profits, while the real changes keep getting swept under the carpet. I wrote a long and well-researched paper back in college dealing with the war in afghanistan. I came to the conclusion that America is supremely incompetent when it comes to war. When it boils down to it, yes we want security, but the policies we have are just the opposite of achieving this goal. The current state of Afghanistan is not a winable situation, so instead of incurring a massive debt, we should reconsider an immediate pull-out of military operations, but continue funding education.

How long does it take to create a Manchurian candidate, that is willing to destroy themselves and others? About three weeks or less. Is this being done? Or do "insurgents" come to be because their friends, family, village, way of life is being destroyed by foreign agents?
I am not so sure many would willingly go on a suicide mission, but hey, in addition to war being a racket, it is a living hell for all involved.

As far as I know, they were not invaded by the German army during WW2, but that's maybe because they didn't have valuable natural resources, the land is not flat and therefore difficult to invade, and Germans had a lot of money here and didn't want to hurt themselves.
Refusing alliances is silly, for everyone who has some interest in military history.

There is an elite 1% that really profit from capitalism/imperialism/etc. The elite's children also really benefit from the system simply by being born.
You can call it what you want. What I want to create is a society in which focuses on cooperation and altruism instead of such destructive things as Capitalism/War/Imperialism/Racism. In my opinion if you take away one of the components of the capitalist system such as imperialism the whole system will fail to function.

if you want altruism and equality, join a monastery and work on a farm? people care about themselves ok, its just how it is. Example: classroom of students, they all work for their grades, average score B. Teacher tells the students that their grades will be averaged and everyone will get the same grade. you are one of the 25 students your grade doesnt affect the grade you get at all, so you can get 0% on all assignments and wont move the average grade more than 4%. in the end average grade F

What you are talking about there is a barter economy, those existed thousands of years before Capitalism. Capitalism is more about concentrating wealth and knowledge in the hands of the few.
As for cooperation, it may not be in the interests of the individual, however, it is in the interests of the species. What you are stating is that humans cannot cooperate with one another and that they are destined to be self-interested killers, if that is true, then there is no hope for the human race.

theres not a certain amount of wealth and some people just got a larger slice through force. In the capitalism system the way you get rich is by doing producing what other people want. Wealth is produced. Capitalism is the best known system of production. Back when alcohol was banned, alot of people wanted alcohol and those who supplied it made alot of money. Regardless of whether you think people should be allowed to drink, republic/capitalism is about power to the individual.

It is not about producing what people want. Do people want cancer from cigarettes? Capitalism about PROFITS not the interests of anyone. The individual also doesn't have very much power because humans have many weaknesses.

Winning the lottery doesn't equal producing something, so that is why that is demonstrably false. Most or at least half of the people that are "rich" got their from "winning the lottery" so that demonstrates why that statement is false.
As for cigarettes, people are born with a natural susceptibility for nicotine addiction, they didn't volunteer for it, and as for cheese infants have an evolutionary necessity for milk, in both cases the person didn't volunteer into that relation.

It is not a benevolent system where the people on the top were very efficient producers, or where things are produced for people's interests.
