@01haruharu Because Junpyo is a dorky cutie pie! And Jihu never took a chance and told her how he really felt. That confession while she was sleeping didn't count because I get the sense he purposely confessed because she was asleep. AND he kept on handing her over to Junpyo. Seriously, how is a girl suppose to choose you if you don't even make yourself an option?

@01haruharu Yes, and Junpyo does take it seriously. Thats why after that he felt uneasy about calling Jihu to Jandi's rescue. Jihu should have just worked up the courage to tell her straight up that he loved her. Thats the real problem. Its not Jandi's fault she chose Junpyo. Its Jihu's fault he couldn't work up the courage to just tell her straight up.
@h0u4 lol but did u see junpyo's reaction when jihoo kissed jandi. He was really mad and because jihoo saw that he didn't want to damage his friendship with junpyo. Plus he wanted to give jandi his mother's ring as a sign of his love which was really special and i don't think you would give that to someone who was just a friend. But she rejected him.
@01haruharu It wouldn't have ruined their friendship. Junpyo is a jealous freak, but with everything he was going through with his mom and Junpyo would have understood. By the time he'd proposed to her, she'd already confessed her love to Junpyo, there was already no going back. Plus, the way he propose still indicated that he still doesn't have the courage to love her through and through.
@h0u4 hmm rly? lol maybe XD hmm but i think all the things he did for her shows his great love for her. It was in his heart and i think that's what really matters :D but u know what? i really don't want to turn this into an argument or anything so let's just respectfully agree that we have our different opinions and leave it as that :D

@01haruharu I think the whole soulmate crap was the dumbest thing ever, maybe because to me a soulmate and a true lover is the same person. He loved Jandi and Seo Hyun both the same. The only difference is that Jandi is way weaker than Soe Hyun and therefore always needs help. Other than that then they are pretty much the same in Jihu's eyes (Though he doesn't know it). Lol! I would have been screaming too if he'd coonfess to Jandi, I would have been like, "OMG!!! My Babe has competition!" Lol.

@h0u4 No, the one at his house, he moved in to kiss her, she pulled away. I don't believe soulmate = love though, you can have a best friend that's your soulmate. Ji Hoo idolised Seo Hyun, it wasn't really love he felt but need and dependence, that was why they could never work. He was on the same level as Jan Di and it was based on friendship then that grew into love (for him), so in that way it's not anything like what he had with Seo Hyun.
@KiraGarza Well either way, he felt the same for both girls, since he acted the same for both. If Seo Hyun was still around he wouldn't even care about Jan Di, because he would have already had someone to strengthen him. JanDi was like Seo Hyun's replacement.
@h0u4 Well, I don't believe that's so. I think he had different feelings for both girls based upon who they were and how their relationships developed. Even when Seo Hyun was around Ji Hoo liked Jan Di, may not have loved her but the basis of their friendship was in the making. It's hard to say if anything would have come from that if Seo Hyun had stayed around, however I do think she would have told him no sooner or later.

Before Jan Di, it was Seo Hyun who gave him the strength to do things like learn how to drive, and when she wasn't around all he ever wanted to do was sleep.Then she left, and Jan Di came into the picture. Then she became his source of strength, since she's such an idiot who could not even do something as simple as stand up for herself, because of her, Jihu found the strength to do that for her. Then when she wasn't around he sat around and ate pancakes all day.
@h0u4 I don't think you are looking at the whole thing objectivly and honestly I've already said why. Jan Di did give Ji Hoo strength but in a different way to Seo Hyun, the two girls were not alike, their feelings towards Ji Hoo were not alike. His feelings for them were not alike. I don't like repeating myself but, Ji Hoo/Jan Di = based on friendship - Ji Hoo/Seo Hyun = based on need and dependance.
@KiraGarza But he needs them both in exactly the same way. If it were different and he grows to be someone who learns to depend on himself for his own happiness, then I would say its totally different because then he would have not just gain strength, but he would have become stronger as a whole, and wouldn't have needed to be following her lead. We wouldn't need for something to have happened before he took action.
@h0u4 I don't agree at all, I see their relationships as completely different. Jan Di actually helps Ji Hoo to find out who he is, what he wants and how to live his life, this is why he can let her go and be happy, if he needed her to the extent you say he does, he would never have allowed her to go to Jun Pyo. I think Jan Di actually depended on Ji Hoo far more than he depended on her.
@KiraGarza Couldn't it been that he didn't have the courage to hold on to her? The man has lived his whole life thinking he killed his parents and his grandpa hated him for it, the only people he left were F4, just b/c it turned out not to be true that he killed his parents doesn't make the shit he's been feeling all his life go away. He emotionally crippled now. So maybe instead of holding on to her, he lets her go to Junpyo, as long as shes around him even if its just a friend, he's fine.
@h0u4 No I don't think so, I believe if he'd been a stubbon, needy person that was only using her as his crutch in life he would have been selfish and held on to her. It takes a lot more to let someone go with a light heart than to cling onto them, he did what he knew was best for Jan Di, she loved Jun Pyo, not him. I think you are seeing Ji Hoo in quite a bad light, he was emotionally unstable hence his unhealthy clinging to Seo Hyun but with Jan Di as his friend he learnt to live.
@KiraGarza it doesn't make what he went through any less harrowing, but by the end of BOF Ji Hoo was living, he was happy and I fully believe he had become a better person, I don't believe a bad experince leaves one emotionally crippled forever, I believe you can overcome anything if you have the will and Ji Hoo had that will. He has a life, a future and good friendships he can now fully enjoy.
I think we see him in very different ways and will just have to agree to disagree.

Wow! I usually never care for Jandi&Jihu videos since I'm a Junpyo fan, but I'm really glad I viewed this video. x)
I like to think that at the end Jihu finally lets go of his feelings for Jandi and let Junpyo be the hero of her life; since he actaully gave Junpyo a chance to remember Jandi & save her in the pool at the end of the show. I mean usually Jihu would jump in without even thinking about it, to save Jandi right? Besides, I think he & Min Seo Hyun should just get back together.
This was actually my third time watching this and it gets me everytime. Even thought I haven't watched this version yet. It's still so touching. Great work! And also, you have my full admiration for translating the song yourself. Amazing!
Naw, I'm bawling my eyes out over this - YOUR ENDING D:. I was already teary because I watched the fancam with KHJ where he was talking about his first love (and about to cry) so this just heightened all my emotions.
This is just beautiful - the angst, the song, the flashbacks, it's perfect. I shipped Jan Di/Ji Hoo from the start (Jun Pyo was such a jerk!!) and she even said they were soulmates!! :( He should never have let her go T^T Ji Hoo deserves so much more - his loves have always left.

i just watched the first episode of the drama, people ruined it for me by saying the girl ends up with another dude, I kinda liked this couple a lot =[ .. so I gave up after the first episode
ahh these vid made me cry i really really wanted ji hoo and jan di to be together i even got mad at the end of the drama . i still watch it but not the end );
the only thing that dissatisfied me about boys over flowers was how...cheap-looking the wedding looked. i mean heck, the japanese version was much better in that part, the dress, the veil. here, the church had this weird machine behind the podium that so shouldnt be there. jan di's dress looks like a play one here. )x maybe i just don't like short dresses. that may just be me.
@epariru this has nothing to do with the video O_o and Jun Pyo and Jan Di didn't get married in Boys Over Flowers, not on screen anyway. Jan Di's 'wedding dress' was for a contest so won't be worth loads of money sooo, yeah kinda redundant, sorry. I didn't see any machine either that shouldn't have been there if you mean the humidifier, they are common everywhere in Korea.

I think you perfectly captured the emotional conflict within Ji Hoo as he has to accept the fact that Jan Di was going to be parted from him by marrying Jun Pyo. Your use of colors and voiceovers was very good and I liked having the captions; it helped the song and images relate even more than they already did. Well done! :)
This is wonderful! I really like the shots you put together and I love the song you chose. I really feel like the song highlights their relationship. It's upbeat but has a lot of feeling. I think that perfectly suits how Ji Hoo relates to Jan Di because he loves her so much and has strong feelings for her, but at the same time never wants to see her cry or be hurt. I felt like that selfless side of him really set him apart because isn't that the true mark of love? Great job as always!!!!

Wowee, I love this song it's so catchy. I've been humming it to myself all day! What a groovy video, I like the Jan Di and Ji Hoo couple, and I always wished they'd be together, but as is the K-Drama way, it was never meant to be. I thought the song matched the sentiment of the video to a tee, you've really caught the meaning of the lyrics and set them to cracking good music.

Jihu should have just worked up the courage to tell her straight up that he loved her. Thats the real problem. Its not Jandi's fault she chose Junpyo. Its Jihu's fault he couldn't work up the courage to just tell her straight up.

@h0u4 lol but did u see junpyo's reaction when jihoo kissed jandi. He was really mad and because jihoo saw that he didn't want to damage his friendship with junpyo. Plus he wanted to give jandi his mother's ring as a sign of his love which was really special and i don't think you would give that to someone who was just a friend. But she rejected him.

@01haruharu It wouldn't have ruined their friendship. Junpyo is a jealous freak, but with everything he was going through with his mom and Junpyo would have understood. By the time he'd proposed to her, she'd already confessed her love to Junpyo, there was already no going back. Plus, the way he propose still indicated that he still doesn't have the courage to love her through and through.

@01haruharu I think the whole soulmate crap was the dumbest thing ever, maybe because to me a soulmate and a true lover is the same person. He loved Jandi and Seo Hyun both the same. The only difference is that Jandi is way weaker than Soe Hyun and therefore always needs help. Other than that then they are pretty much the same in Jihu's eyes (Though he doesn't know it). Lol! I would have been screaming too if he'd coonfess to Jandi, I would have been like, "OMG!!! My Babe has competition!" Lol.

@h0u4 No, the one at his house, he moved in to kiss her, she pulled away. I don't believe soulmate = love though, you can have a best friend that's your soulmate. Ji Hoo idolised Seo Hyun, it wasn't really love he felt but need and dependence, that was why they could never work. He was on the same level as Jan Di and it was based on friendship then that grew into love (for him), so in that way it's not anything like what he had with Seo Hyun.

@h0u4 Well, I don't believe that's so. I think he had different feelings for both girls based upon who they were and how their relationships developed. Even when Seo Hyun was around Ji Hoo liked Jan Di, may not have loved her but the basis of their friendship was in the making. It's hard to say if anything would have come from that if Seo Hyun had stayed around, however I do think she would have told him no sooner or later.

Before Jan Di, it was Seo Hyun who gave him the strength to do things like learn how to drive, and when she wasn't around all he ever wanted to do was sleep.Then she left, and Jan Di came into the picture. Then she became his source of strength, since she's such an idiot who could not even do something as simple as stand up for herself, because of her, Jihu found the strength to do that for her. Then when she wasn't around he sat around and ate pancakes all day.

Jan Di did give Ji Hoo strength but in a different way to Seo Hyun, the two girls were not alike, their feelings towards Ji Hoo were not alike. His feelings for them were not alike. I don't like repeating myself but, Ji Hoo/Jan Di = based on friendship - Ji Hoo/Seo Hyun = based on need and dependance.

If it were different and he grows to be someone who learns to depend on himself for his own happiness, then I would say its totally different because then he would have not just gain strength, but he would have become stronger as a whole, and wouldn't have needed to be following her lead. We wouldn't need for something to have happened before he took action.

Jan Di actually helps Ji Hoo to find out who he is, what he wants and how to live his life, this is why he can let her go and be happy, if he needed her to the extent you say he does, he would never have allowed her to go to Jun Pyo. I think Jan Di actually depended on Ji Hoo far more than he depended on her.

The man has lived his whole life thinking he killed his parents and his grandpa hated him for it, the only people he left were F4, just b/c it turned out not to be true that he killed his parents doesn't make the shit he's been feeling all his life go away. He emotionally crippled now. So maybe instead of holding on to her, he lets her go to Junpyo, as long as shes around him even if its just a friend, he's fine.

@h0u4 No I don't think so, I believe if he'd been a stubbon, needy person that was only using her as his crutch in life he would have been selfish and held on to her. It takes a lot more to let someone go with a light heart than to cling onto them, he did what he knew was best for Jan Di, she loved Jun Pyo, not him. I think you are seeing Ji Hoo in quite a bad light, he was emotionally unstable hence his unhealthy clinging to Seo Hyun but with Jan Di as his friend he learnt to live.

@KiraGarza it doesn't make what he went through any less harrowing, but by the end of BOF Ji Hoo was living, he was happy and I fully believe he had become a better person, I don't believe a bad experince leaves one emotionally crippled forever, I believe you can overcome anything if you have the will and Ji Hoo had that will. He has a life, a future and good friendships he can now fully enjoy.
I think we see him in very different ways and will just have to agree to disagree.

Wow! I usually never care for Jandi&Jihu videos since I'm a Junpyo fan, but I'm really glad I viewed this video. x)
I like to think that at the end Jihu finally lets go of his feelings for Jandi and let Junpyo be the hero of her life; since he actaully gave Junpyo a chance to remember Jandi & save her in the pool at the end of the show. I mean usually Jihu would jump in without even thinking about it, to save Jandi right? Besides, I think he & Min Seo Hyun should just get back together.

Naw, I'm bawling my eyes out over this - YOUR ENDING D:. I was already teary because I watched the fancam with KHJ where he was talking about his first love (and about to cry) so this just heightened all my emotions.
This is just beautiful - the angst, the song, the flashbacks, it's perfect. I shipped Jan Di/Ji Hoo from the start (Jun Pyo was such a jerk!!) and she even said they were soulmates!! :( He should never have let her go T^T Ji Hoo deserves so much more - his loves have always left.

the only thing that dissatisfied me about boys over flowers was how...cheap-looking the wedding looked. i mean heck, the japanese version was much better in that part, the dress, the veil. here, the church had this weird machine behind the podium that so shouldnt be there. jan di's dress looks like a play one here. )x maybe i just don't like short dresses. that may just be me.

Jan Di's 'wedding dress' was for a contest so won't be worth loads of money sooo, yeah kinda redundant, sorry. I didn't see any machine either that shouldn't have been there if you mean the humidifier, they are common everywhere in Korea.

I think you perfectly captured the emotional conflict within Ji Hoo as he has to accept the fact that Jan Di was going to be parted from him by marrying Jun Pyo. Your use of colors and voiceovers was very good and I liked having the captions; it helped the song and images relate even more than they already did. Well done! :)

This is wonderful! I really like the shots you put together and I love the song you chose. I really feel like the song highlights their relationship. It's upbeat but has a lot of feeling. I think that perfectly suits how Ji Hoo relates to Jan Di because he loves her so much and has strong feelings for her, but at the same time never wants to see her cry or be hurt. I felt like that selfless side of him really set him apart because isn't that the true mark of love? Great job as always!!!!

Wowee, I love this song it's so catchy. I've been humming it to myself all day! What a groovy video, I like the Jan Di and Ji Hoo couple, and I always wished they'd be together, but as is the K-Drama way, it was never meant to be. I thought the song matched the sentiment of the video to a tee, you've really caught the meaning of the lyrics and set them to cracking good music.
