Hey guys I am a huge deadhead but also like radiohead, and other jammy experimental stuff. Anyways there is a radiohead music vid and it shows a computer animated figure falling to the depths of a city underwater, I cannot think of the song for the life of me. Its kinda slow if I remember correctly, rather dream like. I know this is a bad description but I am searching for it, any help would be great.

Very underrated album to me. I get irked when "critics" used to and some still do rag on Thom's appearance and voice. The fact is they are a unique creative talented group. Creep may lyrically be one of the best introspective songs that I've ever heard.

Yeah, it's meant to be ambiguous like abstract art. It's also like the stream of consciousness in a dream. I'm not sure exactly what it means, but I know it partly about the problems in modern society: evidenced by the grafiti and cracks on the buildings, the homeless people drinking booze, and the girl who comes out of the tree to show her boobs for money (representing prostitution).

 At the beginning, we see the fat politician in a U.N. meeting crying because the union is crumbling.

This may represent the collapse and deterioration of the current political systems. I think it's also significant that the politician ends up in the same tree that the 'prostitute' came out of earlier. BUt, he's now powerless and in a more innocent state.

This song is one of the very best from the 90s, and in my opinion, in history. About the message, I dont think there is one. I think Thom wrote the lyrics just joining ideas that sounded interesting to him and fit with the music. Besides, remember that this song was made up of different songs that for x reasons didnt get to be finished, so they decided to put them together a la "Happiness is a warm gun" like Thom once said.
