What a band! I had a chance to go see them in vicar street in 2004 which I turned down as I hadn't a clue who they were at the time, I've been kicking myself for 6 years and counting now!
I came to the states in 1973 to run Cross Country and Track at East Tennessee State University. One of the Irish runners here was Frank Greally from Mayo. Frank had the LP Planxty we played it all the time. Thank for the memories and I still play the music today.
Many many thanks for uploading this. Fantastic stuff by a truly unforgetable band. They will forever be emebedded in Irish music. Absolutely wonderful stuff.
No Disco was a great show, thaks for putting this up, Coulter was not to convincing in explaing the selling of the rights to the yanks, christy and andy were candid in thier anger at the move, makes a nice change from the usual chicanery of showbiz
being from liverpool this first song makes me understand where our accent is partly form :)

Thanks for posting this! It's something we'd likely never get on American TV, and I'm so glad I got the chance to see it here.

"We weren't making music for anybody but ourselves and we were happy with it."
That's why this band and everyone that ever played in it are such kings.
Thanks for putting this up, whoever you are.

Just watched all six. Thanks for posting. Big up to Planxty. The clips do not do justice to the brilliance of the albums.
