Its such a shame they let this series go in the last 2 seasons. The writing just lost its touch compared to the first 3 seasons. The writers strike had a massive effect on the writing i think.

The writer/ creator Ryan Murphy, also writes/created "Glee" Which was actually written really well for it's first season. Season 2 pretty much threw the story, continuation, and character development out the window and became something of a glorified shitty music video.
