  • THIS IS MY DOG!!! just to let everyone know that annie has just recently died, i mean like 6 months ago, but what i can tell you is that man she did love that new fence! im amber the person sitting beside the old lady on the rocking chair, my grnadma, so just to let everyone know :)

  • Thank you, Lori, Anthony, and Annie's mom for explaining the situation. It sure proves that we don't know everything just by looks alone. It does my heart good to see the evidence of your love for Annie: new fence with shade, the walks and playtime she has, good food and plenty of clean, cold water (I'm sure you provide for her in these ways). Her rolling-around, back-massaging joy once she realized she was off her chain is a sight to behold! Thanks to all who helped free much-loved Annie!

  • *tears* you can tell they love their dog ..but are just stuck in a bad situation ..look at her so happy in her new area...

    Wonderful work....breaking the chains :)

  • THIS IS SO GREAT

  • I am so happy that she is not chained up anymore! She could not be with any better caregivers! They absolutely love annie and she feels the same about Mary and Tony. Taken said that i pass lots of dogs here in durham dieing of starvation and lack of water on a chain in the blazing sun and the weather is almost 95 degreez . Annie on the other hand has shade loving masters that care lots of everything for her! She is very awesome! Annie just loves Tony and Mary to death!

  • To those of you who doubt my love for Annie. We live on a very busy street and not to have been tethered while we are at work would have brought her sudden death by getting run over. She loves to run!!! This fence gave her the freedom to do so.

  • What a great video!!! This is just wonderful. I hope many more people ask for help so that their dogs can run a play!

  • Thanks for the comments. I completely agree, however, Mary and Tony rent their house. Their landlord does not allow dogs in the house. When we originally planned the fence we planned to build it so it did include the back of the house and Mary and Tony could access it from their back door, but the landlord didn't like it and made us move it away from the house. They love Annie very much and walk her daily and spend a lot of time playing with her.

  • It is good that Annie is no longer chained thanks to the great volunteers. I wonder why they cut down the tree in her yard and I would have preferred to see the fenced area touching the house with a pet door for Annie to access when she wanted to be inside with her pack/family. At least she is not chained, and a potential victim. I wonder if they keep the gate locked. There are creeps out there stealing dogs to sell for research or bait dogs. Sweet Annie deserves to be safe and with her family

  • I agree with you. I also would have liked to see Annie's fence touching the house. That makes more sense. But I am just glad that she has a fence and is not on that chain anymore. YAY!!!!

  • The landlord will not allow the fence to touch the house or the dog inside. If these folks could take Annie in they would. Not every situation is perfect but the Coalition is working to improve those that otherwise would not be. Many people love their dogs but just need some help & understanding. You would never know that they have rented the house for 16 yrs & that it is the landlord who will not allow them to care for the dog as they would like - when you listen to people, you learn a lot!

  • A nice change for the dog -- but why do these people have the dog at ALL only to keep it on a chain? They claim to love the dog and I hope that's true. I hope that means they walk it and bring it inside and give it better shelter than that crappy igloo house that appears in the video. One does wonder.

  • The Coalition really tries to not pass judgement on people. We have found that if we do, people put up a wall and we are not able to help the dog. The world is not a perfect place and we can never truly know or understand the circumstances of others. All we can do is help and be a part of the change we want to see happen.

  • These people that you speak of are the best Mother and Father that a daughter and me (son) would die for! Belive me love wow if only you knew how much! They love annie with all their hearts! So do i and eveyone else! We should never pass judgement on anyone yet alone Tony and Mary. They are the best Owners that annie could ever have! Only God can pass judgement on anyone leave it up to God! And if you really wanna know that igloo that you speak of is better than what i see most dogs with today!

  • I love to see these older dogs turn into puppies!
