and if you have a rear wheel drive it can rip out the differencial like i did to mine but that was because my transmission slipped when i tryed to pull outta my exes driveway i still drove it home 2blocks and the next day she came to laugh at me but i had already fixed it she doesnt have to know XD
One more thing here to dispell the misconceptions... you can use a 140 HP car without the front shocks, and just jam on the brakes a couple times, and the front springs will bounce the front tires off the ground (I've seen guys do that on the street). But try and hold a wheelie for 480 feet like it was done in this video. It isn't going to happen unless the car has a lot of power and fantasic acceleration, or you have the engine in the back of the car, and it's simply a balancing act.

@505197 1st off, I was there, & all of those cars were DRAG cars. 2nd, none of those cars including the Camaro in this vid had the shocks removed. If they did, it would be very obvious since the front end of the cars would've bounced out of control all over the track, and none of the cars did that just from the bouncing. I know what cars look like when they have the shocks removed. Do you? 3rd, without front shocks, you don't even need the gas to get the front up. Just hit the brakes.
@505197 A little FYI for ya here.... the cars that are entered in and used in the byron Wheelstander competition must go through tech inspection, and must be NHRA legal to DRAG race whether they're being used for drag racing and the wheelstand competition (as many are) or they're just being used for the wheelstand competition.No cars are allowed on the track unless they pass tech inspections. And if they don't have front shocks, they would never be allowed on the track.

The 632 CID engine that I have in my Chevelle is an 800 HP motor, and that Camaro has atleast as much power, if not more than my car does. If you have front wheel drive just put it in reverse and than you can do a backwards wheel stand. Try it! Just put your car in park rev it up to 5000 rpm and slam it in reverse. This also helps to warm up a transmission in the winter time when it's cold out.

Takkunflcl69 and whimp can go and spend money on rice and you would still have rice. first and foremost understand that having a built car as such is only part of the equasion. knowledge to build the car, and the ability to line it up with the ballz to back it and snap a kick ass reaction time, mantain it straight down a track and finish first with out blowing up takes alot more skill and talent then drifting. hell I can drift a stock honda. why built one when you could have built a real toy.

a real raace car is either a formel-1 car or something else with aerodymamics. I wouldnt race a car with such excess weight in the rear that it does a wheelstand when you start the race. But of course, that's just me ^^
