  • THIS MASSIVE PROJECT REMAINS UNFINISHED TODAY Bear Mountain Developers backed out of their promise to cover the $25 million cost, leaving the taxpayers of Canada, British Columbia, and the City of Langford with the bill. The Rare and Endangered Garry Oak Ecosystem is supposed to be protected under the Federal Species at Risk Act, but continues to be destroyed by Bear Mountain developers with no legal enforcement by the BC or Federal governments. Local First Nations call this SPAET MOUNTAIN.

  • what is the cage on the ground?

  • The Ministry of Transportation built a cage over a cave, sacred to the first nations people of the area, to prevent protestors from locking themselves in to stop the highway destruction. The Ministry of Transportation then proceeded to blast the rock hillside within a few meters of the sacred cave, likely destroying the underground chambers carved by water over thousands of years.
