All in all, they were both stopped dead in their tracks and both placed on their backs. Herron didn't get the first down. Mays wins.

@stanb2flyie I'm pretty sure herron got knocked off his feet and flew a good three feet. Taylor Mays is the one who delivered the blow. He fell down because thats what happens when two objects going in opposite directions with equal force will do. Taylor Mays had a slightly stronger force which is why herron got the most out of that collision. So no, you do not know what you are talking about.

@alrivera777 You did know that Herron is wearing the red jersey and fell forward on his back and Mays was the one wearing the white jersey and got knocked 2 yards back and landed on his back didn't you? It was a good hit but i would say the 190 pound guy got the best of the 230 pound guy. little guy landed a yard and a half foward after contact, the big guy landed 2 yards back after contact.

I want to say it was an equal hit because I'm a HUGE Taylor Mays fan, my favorite player in the country/the draft/period... but even I have to admit that Boom dished out more punishment right there than Mays. Herron was running faster but Mays slowed down sort of when he reached him, shouldn't have done that.

I'm not trying to take anything away from USC's wins against OSU but they and Taylor Mays got lucky in that they avoided having to deal with Beanie. He was injured against you guys in '08 and left for the pros this year. He would've trucked Mays like a wrecking ball.

maybe you're right about beanie, but unfortunately for you, wells didn't play defense at ohio state. USC put up 35 points on that defense, and beanie woudnt've made 32 points difference, seeing as OSU lost 35-3.

3. ohio state won't win a national championship. although, i can definitely see them making it to the title game. but then again, i could see USC getting there too taking into account the new coaching staff, player experience level, and easier schedule.
i think next year's Rose Bowl will be USC-Ohio State.

USC is likely to drop a pac10 game or two. most likely only 1. the pac10 will be decided from the USC-oregon game.
