  • Yes yes, Well, in times of political turmoil, it is NOT the thought that counts, is it??? Without knowledge of how the world works, how can one be expected to run the most powerful country in that world? Hmmmmmm?

  • TheNumber24 is right. Constructive comments are missing. Obama hasn't put down a comprehensive policy on everything but tell you what, he's got the right attitudes, the right ideas, the paperwork will come.

  • I think I can summaries Obama's plan:

    1) Provide better regulation of credit card companies and mortgage companies.

    2) Create fund from taxpayer dollars to help those who have a mortgage that is too big for them to handle.

    3) Repeal Bush tax cuts.

    4) Increase taxes on energy.

    5) Increase long-term capital gains tax from 15% to 28%

  • Who really says there is nothing we can do?

  • I see what people say about obama not having a REAL plan. I like the fact he can solve foreign policy problems, but i want to here this guy talk about OUR ECONOMY. Our national debt and inflation is growing RAPIDLY. The only person I have seen that can give you his plan RIGHT NOW to be analyzed is Ron Paul. And what a plan it is.

  • Ive been watching Obama and his opinions on "the issues".... A few times he is "spewing out rhetoric" without any real answers. The reason he does this, I believe, is because he's still formulating an answer. More experienced guys like Gravel, Paul, and Kucinich

already have answers. As Obama becomes more experienced his answers will look more like theirs.

  • People talk about Experience and what Obama has and has not. People say he is all talk and no plan. At least he is talking about problems in the country, that we all need to get together and find a solution to. I dont want one man to dicate what decisions are made in our country.

  • I agree with Prosperity Now that we shouldn't just give impoverished people money. But there are plenty of poor people without jobs and plenty of work to be done. I'm sure he won't just give money away. And you think Obama is a joke? You're looking at a different person than me man. He looks sharp as hell. Hes got tons of confidence and a good record.

  • no doubt

  • What a joke he is. My responsibility is not to go to work and then turn over 60% of what I make to the government so Obama can give it to a bunch of lazy people who won't get off their rear ends and do something for themselves. How about some freedom from the government, not more government.

  • This was supposed to be a policy debate, not a battle cry! Where's the policy, Barack?

  • Hi everyone. The Obama campaign has allowed people to post their thoughts here and many are taking advantage of it to simply voice their hate. Instead of saying negative things, how about coming up with constructive comments.

  • Great oratory, but like other issues he has spoken on, more style than substance. I'd like to know how he will fix Social Security. Will he stop the Federal Government's raiding of the fund in order to balance the budget (Hundreds of billions a year for the last quarter century!). Will he insure that people earning over $97,000 a year will continue to pay their fair share? This is part of our economy too and few of the candidates have addressed these inequities head on.

  • what are you talking about? i seriously think your out of your mind falkminuteman. skin color has nothing to do with your beliefs. listen to what he says not what he looks like. im really not even sure what you were trying to say because you cant write. i suspect it was very dumb though.

  • they promise everything but never give nothhing

like i said like 3 or more years ago i heard about the next press half black and

he was going to give us more problems then we have watch out with this guy

how in the hell do you think people from the iraq war would of told me this 3 years ago

  • whose puppet? why is he so "incompetent"? He is less corrupt than Clinton or George Jr. He has ideas for education and health care, and piloting America back to our shining ideals.

  • Senator Obama does not tell the people what they want to hear~it is nice that people agree he is telling people what they want to hear~he feels the same way, we, the people, do. That is a good reason to vote for him. He is a potential President, "of the people, for the people and by the people". He could start a whole new tend of honest government.

  • what a great president history ever known

  • This guy is speech after speech of endless rhetoric...

  • Yessss

  • He was a community organizer and a civil rights attorney. It is NOT empty rethoric. He has plans. But plans alone do not motivate people. Plans don't make people feel excited and hopeful. Winning an election is not just about presenting how you would deal with shit. It is also about getting people engaged in the process of dealing with the shit. Get it?

  • You can go further into what he plans to do at his website. Honestly, if your only act of reseatch is at youtube you have no credibility behind what you say.

  • I don't think he really said anything at all about his policies, here. Just a lot of encouraging-sounding - but empty - talk.

Say something, man! I came here to find out your stances on things not to listen to a motivational speaker. The next video I watch on you better have some substance in it or I give up on you.

  • may be you don t understand english

  • Give one example from this video where he expresses his stance on an issue. Give one. I put this challenge to you and if you can I will admit I am wrong, hail you as my superior, and thank you for enlightening me.

  • He said he doesn't not support the ridiculous tax cuts the rich have been receiving over the last 7 years. Basically he said he would re allocate that money into programs that will truly benefit the people

  • I mean "He doesn't support" my mistake

  • Wow what a brave stance he has on that issue (/sarcasm). That's a sweeping generalization. It's just what he doesn't support and not any real definition of any specific policies he'd enact. But ya _kinda_ got me. Good job; cheers. I tip my hat - I was an ass.

  • buddy, he is the senator. He is not an empty-talker. He got phd from harvard. He is not an empty-talker. He is the only one who talks about everyday-problems of ours and how to fix them.

  • Repeating a sentence twice does not make it any more true.

It may be that he talks about everyday issues that makes him so popular but to me it just seems he hasn't said anything specific about what he'll do. I agree with most of his stances on things - I'm just saying in this video it seems to me to be empty talk. If you want to argue give examples of how it is not empty talk. Or don't argue.

  • Riggix, All politicians talk right? what else they do? he said that he will pull out our troops from Iraq and gave specific time. Also, I think that one of the most impotant things he is talking about is our broken(we are superior human beings attitude) foreign policy. I see for now every candidate gives empty talk.

  • Obama, while you have been Illinois senator the cost of gas (4-homes) has gone up almost 30%, electric bills have gone up almost 30%, phone bills have gone up almost 30%. While you were supposed to be at work- working for us, you were on Oprah promoting your book. In Illinois, cars older than 95 are no longer required to test emissions, Chicago schools are in severely poor condition, and the list goes on. If you can't handle the job of senator, why should anyone vote for you?

  • Lawtek, it's nice that you've done some research... but you're confusing "senator" and "governor". Your governor and state legislature are to blame for those problems... not Obama, who represents you on the national level!

  • As a resident of Illinois, I am aggravated that Obama voted to spend our tax dollars on rebuilding a football stadium instead of spending the money on schools like Chicago's inner city, where kids are missing things like keyboards for their computers. Sure he created union jobs, but only temporarily until the project was finished. Education is what is missing, not a remodeled football stadium, supporting a sport that pays it's players millions of dollars every year

  • CHECK OUT MY OBAMA TRIBUTE VIDEO GUYS! it is AWESOME!

  • I love this fuggin' guy! Get Bill Richardson as the Vice and it's the dream team. Barack is, hands down, the best, most intelligent candidate without question. He's a thinking man, and not just thinking of how to make himself and his friends rich, quite a change from what we've seen lately. This guys got "Leader" written all over 'em.

  • Leader indeed. His debate at the Union just proved it again.

  • Obama in 08'! Watch this man

  • You've got my support!

  • vauuu!

  • Obama 08!!! : D

  • Take a break from the Presidential race with -
