  • The extra's say "steal" very weirdly

  • I believe it's suposed to be "steel" as in a blade.

  • i know what it is i was in the show... i was saying that they say "steel" weirdly.

  • This is not 1972. Maybe 2005.

  • "Fosse" was a revue of songs/dances from many of Fosse's shows. The 1972 refers to the date of the original show, "Pippin", not this performance. This was filmed in about 2002.

  • Don't know what you're talking about. This is the film "Fosse which is an ode to Bob Fosse, a live movie of a stage show which clebrated him as a choreographer. At the beginning of eah act there is the title of the song/piece followed by the date it was performed with the real fosse as its choreographer. They have tried to use as many of the original dancers as possible

  • Yes it is.

  • What's the music in the background as the number of killed or wounded soldiers is read out? Is it part of the song glory? thanks

  • It's a vamp, it happens during a lot of Pippin productions after part 1 of glory. Glory is divided into three parts- Part 1 ends with the jazzy "The gates of heaven await" bit, the vamp happens between Part 1 and 2. Part 2 is The Manson trio, and Part 3 is the part with the body parts flying out. The full version is available on YouTube, type in "Glory Ben Vereen", and click on the one that's 7 minutes long.
