  • I'm reading Rabbit, Run right now because all modern Fiction is awful. I decided to read classic. I love how he writes. He pulls the scene together and adjectives at it's best. RIP John Updike.

  • I'm just happy that I have read quite a lot of his work but I have tons left to read...happiness

  • Once incarcerated you'll be searching in vain for those willing HOT BABES IN PRISON—Faye Wong, Suzie Wong and the Wongs in movies and managing restaurants are out there in the world waiting for the next infusion of patrons and diners.

  • The most underrated writer of the greats.

  • I didn't know Updike died.

  • I'm not sure why they didn't include Rabbit Redux in the series of Rabbit sequels.

  • they're just stating the ones that won the Pulitzer Prize, no intentional exclusion besides that.

  • I loved Redux!!!

  • That's an awesome quote from him. He was brilliant when I saw him speak in person; he was so supportive of new writers who deserved support, and he was not afraid of "literature dying", because there is no reason to be.

Is Witches really his best remembered? I guess there was a movie after all, but I think the Rabbit Series is his best known in terms of books.

  • This is a true loss. He will be sorely missed, but live forever through his brilliant words. I remember reading his work in high school and college and being spellbound.

  • RIP John Updike

  • what a genius...
