@operamark1 It's not slow at all, it's a good tempo, the music luckily doesn't have to ask you, what you want it to do! If you want to learn about the right tempo, study Celibidaches teachings!

Though Schlusnus recorded many songs several times, it seems he recorded Taubenpost only once:
on 18 May 1943, with Sebastian Peschko at the piano
