i believe LSV has explained in earlier draft videos that he passes colored cards for the last picks to send stronger signals.

i personally dont think it matters as im not looking for any kind of signals after pick 10 or so but i can see if someone randomly gets an 11th pick borderline playable or sideboard card it is more likely to push them into that color if they are short on solid cards or just messed up the draft and ended up with a mish mash.
